Terminator: Survivors is an open-world survival game set in the world of the famous sci-fi franchise Terminator, In this original story taking place after the first two films, you take control of a group of survivors of Judgment Day. The game has both solo or co-op mode. The player is faced with multitude of lethal hazards in the post-apocalyptic dystopian open world game, Where you fight against Skynet's machines who will hunt you down relentlessly and rival human faction survivors who will also fight you for scavenging loots and more for the desperate measure of survival. Get ready for this upcoming open world survival game in 2024. Terminator: Survivors will be released on early access for PC (Steam) on 24 October 2024 and coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.

Part of the hype is that the world is filled with hostile machines, which is also stated in the video before the T-800 is even mentioned.

wait, why a T800? what about the T600? I thought that T800 was the result after the shortcomings of the T600 that Skynet learned. I like the idea of the terminator that pose so much treat, you need to run from it! That is what made the terminator amazing in the first movie. And I love the idea of playing the game in a time where people still trying to figure out what happend, and out of nowhere to learn about the existence of a T800 (can you imagine the horror LOL ). I guess I will wait for the game and find out.

Now how is the T800 even in this game if it's set in 2009.. skynet hasn't manufactured that model until the 2020s when its trying to create the infiltrator unit. T600 wasnt until 2016... I would have expected a very early endo foot soldiers trying to mimic humans.

The most exciting thing so far imo is that this is not made by Teyon whose games are technically mediocre at best. In every way. My personal opinion first person sucks unless it is virtual reality. If you are going to have first person there should always be a third person option so all players can play the way they want to. To me first person has lack of character detail and creativity. To each their own but having only first person is only going to attract one type of player fan base. It had real good potential of being a good game if they thought about it a bit more.
