I also have a redhead box, and a holley gen3 hemi reduced pressure hemi pump. it does not steer as light as it did but holding strong since a year. I would prefer lighter, but I prefer that it holds more :)

Send it to redhead.

I have a Redhead on Radio Flyer. No issues with almost 35K miles on it. Initially, I noticed a bit firmer steering feel than what I prefer in a vintage ride, but I got used to it. I feel your frustration. In the middle of installing the A/C back in. For the last 3 weeks......... Fighting the flare fittings at the evap core. The seats look pretty rough for a new flare. Looks like poor quality control. Ended up ordering a second one. Will be using the coated cone washers on the new install. Never have had issues with flare fittings til this thing. I am so over this job. I'm in the middle of remodeling our bedroom and need the Wag to pick up some trim boards since it is frequently raining and the wag is the only vehicle with the size to haul them in the dry. Figured it would be a quick, one week process since I had new everything. Nope. I feel that quality control is lacking or non-existent any more. Especially noticed this on generic replacement or reman parts. It seems you have to spend big $$$ on "upgraded' parts to get quality, when that level of quality was originally built into the old part. Yep. There's a reason I call it Fakebook Marketflakes. Noticed that as well. You at least got a response. I try to straight up schedule a meeting time. Freaking crickets..... Good luck on your upcoming big trip! It is a major feeling to know a ride you built did something like that.

Yeah that’s a very familiar story, this should only take a couple days 😂. It’s kinda become the norm unfortunately. Sounds like you got it figured out though which is good. If this steering box continues to hold I’m gonna run it for a while. I’d rather put the money towards getting the cruise control figured out!

C’mon man you know those two doors have a different steering head 😂. I want a PSC for the dirty max but too pricey to tackle right now. Hopefully termite the new seals hold and termite can be out hitting the trails soon.

Question. You did the hemi and im doing a LS. Where did you get the 12 volts off the switch to fire injectors? My 86 wiring bulkhead is different than the 87 we did LS couple years ago. Cranks with the switch but when I cut the key off it doesn't kill the power completely . Engine is slow to cut off . Yes. People post on Market place but evidently don't really want to sale it.

I’ll have to go back in notes to see which wire from the bulkhead it was exactly. I used Sublimes quick run harness and it was a simple hook up to that. I’ll check tomorrow and let you know. 👍

Have you checked out Tom Collins (oljeep) wiring diagrams page? Also, LT1swap has a youtube channel that breaks down the harness into what is needed/not needed. I ran my injectors via a relay in an underhood power distribution box.

@@derelict_wanderer I will ck it out . I have lights on in the dash without a key so I think it's the ignition switch inside the column .
