Good morning, Hans, from Montana. I would guess that your chain is from an old pocket watch chain. They often had 5 to 6 small loops, and then long links on the side. I appreciate the time you take to set your cameras up to include images of the countryside. Best wishes~

@delukxy4 жыл бұрын
@@KeithSherry12 I was going to suggest a cloak fastener. I feel that it is rather chunky for a watch chain. As a cloak fastener I'd think more for a military cloak rather than a dress cloak due to the utilitarian design and manufacture.

You are right about coins popping up all over the place Hans, the other day my friend detected a 1941 ten Reichspfennig coin here in Western Australia! It may have come from one of the survivors of the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran that sunk off the coast on the 19th of November 1941, the survivors that landed on the Australian main land were taken to Carnarvon for a short period prior to transportation to Fremantle, with any luck we may even find more! Thank you for the great upload, that Roman coin is amazing! Keep up the great work :)

Sowing coins with the symbols of farming prosperity, such as sheaves of grain or plows, dates back to pre-christian eras as a form of sacrifice. This practice is still done in some religious communities such as the Mennonite and Amish. It was well into the 20th century that the United States had wheat wreaths on its one penny pieces.
