Very nice building. I thought I was going to be all right in terms of Hirst Arts molds but now with the 4 inch tower and the conical roof. I have to buy some more. IT IS AN ADDICTION. But plaster is more healthy for my health than other addictions. Thanks for the build.

Wow, that tower is amazing, I have all those molds minus the slate mold and am thinking of building a tower like that and maybe incorporate the octagon tower mold into it.

Good stuff!!! That tower is absolutely awesome, it's has to be one of the best pieces of wargame terrain that I've seen. Now blow some holes in it and crumble the roof so we can use it in 40K :)

where can I learn more about the vacuum process to eliminate bubbles?

Hmm... I'm not sure really. I would look for a couple of videos that show vacuum degassing for mold rubbers. The process is essentially the same. :)

I know this is an older video, but can you tell me what material you would recommend to cast with?. Is it worth doing them in resin. I'm paranoid about the weaker pieces snapping afetr going to all the trouble of making something nice. Cheers, and great channel by the way. :)

I've used many plasters over the years. Resin is stronger but it's the glue joins that fail. Resin is lighter though so less stress on the joints. Casting resin into the molds will age them however, so that's a consideration. I recommend Hydrocal 30, Tufstone, or Hydrostone if you're doing a lot of castings. If your not going to do a TON of castings, Merlins Magic or Excaliber are good choices. Not everyone needs a 50lb bag after all. ;)
