A few additional tips and alternative ideas... 1) You can look for lucky horseshoes underground now. This will help with all that fall damage before you get wings. If you can find gravitation potions, you can look in sky chests for the Fledgling Wings in pre-hardmode. Yes, they replaced lucky horseshoes in the sky chests with the wings and put the horseshoes in golden chests underground. 2) If you want to do something a bit risky in hardmode, try killing snatchers in the jungle to get the Uzi. It can be done the moment you enter hardmode without killing a single boss. The drop rate is hard, but it's considered a rival to the megashark, so that's pretty handy. 3) If you have the UFO or broom mount, once you find the sweet spot for the Moon Lord to attack the core, hop onto it. You'll travel at just the right speed to keep him at range without him getting closer or further away. Also, it'll raise you up over the asphalt bricks so you can hit his heart.

Old comment, but I spent like 3 hours farming the traps in the jungle and it took like 130 kills for one uzi drop. Took me like half a hour to craft the onyx shotgun. If your going for the uzi do it after the shotgun 100%.

If you want get a cross necklace or variation and with ufo,witch’s broom, any minecart (if expert or master mechanical cart guaranteed drops from mech bosses for extra defense) you can blast one eye with everything you got and then sit it the eye because immunity frames the death does 0 damage instead of 300 on master mode as you would have taken the 1 tick damage from contact open eye socket damage and the rest of the fight is a breeze

Hi, ranger pro here. This guide is actually pretty good, which I didn't actually expect. However, there are a few things it fails to mention. For one, Meteor Shots. A great ammo typo for gunslingers, which bounces and pierces an enemy. For EoC, the Boomstick is a good choice as each bullet deals damage. Once you've unlocked it, the Phoenix Blaster is a good choice capable of taking down the WoF with the previously mentioned Meteor Shots. Once in hardmode, the best armour set is the Frost armour. As the video mentioned, the Onyx Blaster is a good choice. The Uzi is also excellent. For archers, get the Shadowflame Bow. Once you're at the Plantera stage, the Chlorophyte Shotbow with Holy or Ichor Arrows are a good choice. It's recommended to make a mushroom farm at pre-hardmode. Build it in rows and wire it with actuators to a lever. Once you get the Autohammer, you can easily make the Shroomite armour with whatever headpiece. Fight Golem, and get two Eyes of the Golem. Make sure to farm for two Rifle Scopes as well. Make the Sniper, and Recon Scope for boosts to critical strike chance. Lucky is the recommended modifier for rangers as they have all the crit-boosting accessories. Afterwards, fight EoL if you like and if you like, the Frost Moon. The Eventide isn't that good, but it isn't reflected by Selenians from the Solar pillar. Two weapons from the FM, the Chain Gun and Snowman Cannon, are good, but the latter is 10× better. Make Mini Nukes and then fight the LC. It's also recommended to get the Xenopopper, as it is a good shotgun even capable of taking Moon Lord down.

I can already confidently say he went for Duke fishron Post-Plantera, probably because of the shropmite armour, but i did a playthrough on my own before and went for Duke Fishron before any boss in hardmode, with a deadalus stormbow and holy arrows and the 3rd stage hardmode ore, and when i got tsunami, i literally destroyed the rest of the game till the Lunar Events, where i got the vortex beater and the Phantasm. In conclusion. *tsunami is a little too broken before mech bosses*

I struggled a bit on the final boss, the strategy I ended up using was the little with bubble blocks containing honey and water to keep the mini duke strong. The little zone was also good for keeping the nurse, campfire, cat statue, etc. nearby. Once I got the Dolphin weapon it got much easier, especially paired with the matching armor.

current playthrough: mined ~560 desert fossils in the first two nights, went mining looking for an extractinator. explored the entire underground desert, snow and jungle and came out with exactly no extractinator or hermes boots. beat the eye, brain, slime and skeletron with gold gear, upgraded to meteor then hellstone armor. went mining for another 4 hours trying to get boots, still didnt find anything. currently have explored a good portion of a medium world. also explored the dungeon entirely and didn't get a cobalt shield. went dungeon fishing and got the shield after 17 crates and a death. went mining again, found no boots. went snow fishing and got flurries after 2.5 hours. RNG hated me on that world but I refused to worldhop. Proceeded killing 8 WoF's to get my ranger emblem. anger.

About the whole journey mode thing at the start; I had never played journey until I got around to mages on master mode and wow, it makes master mode so much better and less tedious, so much so that I feel like master mode was meant to be paired with journey but then split later. they are all pretty balanced out together personally i think ranger is the best throughout the whole game because it never has any powers dips. melee isn’t amazing in prehardmode but hard mode it’s literally just mage with twice the defense and u don’t need mana. this is unpopular but i really dislike mage it has really low defense and it’s supposed to be a glass cannon but it feels like they forgot the cannon part through most of the game. summoner got hugely buffed in the last update and i think it’s about on par with melee just more consistent in prehardmode. ranger is the best first play through class no question mage and summoner are the hardest melee is a good second good luck man hope i helped

I have to add a little thing, fighting the old one's army is great for rangeds as you can get armors that amp up your dmg much higher thsn shroomite if you don't care for bonus gear... And... for fighting moonlord just use the mechanical minecart and build tracks from edge to edge as you'll outrun him and he won't be able to hit you, you can kill eol w this tactic too, but be careful of jumping to avoid eol's attack (you can defeat her on daylight if you know how to fight her)

Here is the one thing I would do differently: After defeating plantera, get the shroomite armour but then don't do the frost moon event yet. Instead fight duke fishron using the megashark and chlorophyte bullets. I used the tier 3 wings for this (butterfly wings) but you can get the tier 4 wings if you want. Just build a row of platforms at the bottom and build a row of platforms that is slightly below the max height you can fly with your wings. Do this until you get the tsunami bow. Then I would use the tsunami bow with holy arrows on the frost moon event. It is honestly so much better than daedulus stormbow with holy arrows. Once you get the chain gun, if you haven't got the fishron wings yet, use the chain gun and chlorophyte bullets to farm duke fishron. It kills him much quicker than the megashark (about 4 minutes with megashark and 2 minutes with chain gun). Great video.

One note: you can put the dryad in a graveyard biome to buy the opposite world evil seeds to get the drops like ichor or cursed flames. Ichor is really useful as it can be used to lower the defence of enemies. Cursed flames are also useful as it has great damage over time. So consider making an island for the opposite world evil to farm the drops

I play in Journey mode to enjoy myself rather than participate in a gruelling grind. In my opinion, anything above Journey takes too long. I also use TerraMap occasionally for convenience. Many of my friends think I'm a noob because of this reason. I personally don't care, play your own way. TL;DR : As long as you having fun, who cares? P.S. Slightly off topic, I know, so please don't hate on me for it. (Just preparing for some toxic people that'll certainly show up from somewhere.)
