I didn't say Samsung needs to make their phones iPhones to be good phones. I said that iPhones had very specific "quality of life" features like secure Face ID that many people are accustomed to. It's really not that serious tbh lol Just an observation I had from my personal experience with the phone.

@TerrenRule You just made my point again. iPhone users only see the world from the perspective of what Apple has provided to them. It's not like they have a choice. And it's not like whatever they are used to is the preferred standard.

As an iPhone user coming over to the galaxy s24 ultra i do NOT want face id instead of a fingerprint reader. The fingerprint reader is so much more convenient (actually works in sunlight!) and there's no ugly notch or pill cutout at the top of the phone

im a huge fan of the fingerprint reader having switched from the 13 pro max to the s24u. the only problem is that the reader is a tiny bit touchy sometimes like all sensor recognition tech, but it really does work smoothly like 99% of the time. That being said it is hard to find a good screen protector that will work with the touch sensor but the gorilla glass is tough and the anti-reflective tech is lost once you put on a screen protector so take that risk if you dare.

I made the migration to Samsung with the note 9, then bobbled back and forth Apple/Samsung every couple years. I'm now on the S23u and I'll probably end up with the S24u or 25 if this one lasts long enough. Going with Samsung is really a matter of enjoying the phone and putting up with the wearable experience. Galaxy watch and any wearOS device is five years behind the experience on an Apple watch. I can't give up my handset experience just to have the Apple watch anymore.

Switching your data one problem I see is the messing iMessage versus regular text. I'm not 100 percent sure if that is the cause of the problem or if other apps are because they are not native compatibility to each operating system. That is my thinking behind it.

I liked your video review and your honest point of view. Many long time iPhone users either complain on the switching process, or ridiculise or trash Android. It's disappointing there's no seamless phone content transfer process from one platform to the other, but then maybe neither of the parties is very interested, so there's very little progress in that respect. At the end of the day there are many differences between iOS and Android

Pixel 8 Series has secured face unlock that works with banking apps. Some other phones have as well that are much newer than the Pixel 4. The S24 Ultra is a great phone but on my Android line, I'm fully locked into the OnePlus Open. Foldables are a game changer for me and don't see myself using a non foldable phone on my Android line. On my main line, I use a 15 Pro Max. It's awesome but I barely use it compared to my OnePlus Open on my work line. Apple needs to quit dragging their feet and get into the foldable game!

I actually just switched from Samsung to Apple. After 15 years of being on android so I know what android can do. I had the s23 ultra and went with the 15 pro max. In terms of hardware Samsung is probably the best. In terms of a seamless ecosystem, face unlock, face time for phone calls and messages Apple is simply unmatched. You can have the best phone in the world but what’s it worth if your ecosystem sucks. And I know. I had the galaxy buds and galaxy watch 5 so while it’s not the newest watch Samsung has it’s recent….and in comparison to the ecosystem and accessories that Apple has and can do…..android ain’t all that. Especially if your friends and family all have iPhones….which most people do. 7 out of 10 of the top selling phones on the planet are all iPhones …one seamless experience. I know I’m gonna get a bunch of hate from a bunch of tech geeks but it’s the truth. In terms of a phone being just that….a phone…connecting people….apple is unmatched

I’ve always been a iPhone guy, but just like most people when this phone was announced. I fell into the hype I Wanted to try something new and I can honestly and easily say worst decision of my life. Android still has a long way to go the camera on the S 24 was mid-level at Best my friends S 23 Ultra Shot Way better photos took way better videos and comparison to the s24 my iPhone 14 pro max did both things way better then on the s24 as well I will say that the screen on the s24 is amazing the battery life on the S 24 was as well but that’s where it ends for me. I ended up returning the phone buying a iPhone 15 Pro Max and couldn’t be more happier the videos this phone takes are amazing, the photos 10 times better than on the 24 little things like location sharing FaceTime iMessage family albums things that I thought didn’t matter turned out they mattered a lot. And to think this years iPhone will compete with the s24 I can only imagine the Ai stuff they bring and overall new design that’s rumored both are great phones but don’t fall for the hype of either go off what works best for you the consumer

I've had 2 of them actually. It's a good phone but it has its flaws. 1. The camera is so bad coming from 15 PM 2. Worthless speakers sounds tinny 3. Many has big issues with grain and jeans effect and also banding 4. Many apps are still far behind vs apple 5. Pretty easy to scratch and the front screen isn't that good towards scratches. 6. Bloat ware from Samsung That's just to name a few things I didn't like. Some are fixable but it's so bad from Samsung to ship an high end phone with obvious flaws to the screen. Needs to be calibrated better. Many have had other issues as screen leaking light, green light showing itself under the screen and so on. Overall a good phone but it didn't have that wow factor everyone was talking about. Pretty gimmicky AI features also. But they are on the right path. Gonna look att the fold 6 that might sway me over but as of today not interested.
