I’m Nigerian. We tend to have savoury porridges in our cuisines. It wasn’t until I dated a Jamaican man that I was introduced to sweet porridge other than the traditional oat porridge you eat in the UK. I was introduced to peanut porridge but this plaintain porridge sounds right up my street! Thank you for sharing ❤

I've never had it, but I always see this Jamaican wife make it for her family. I intend to try this one day. I like porridge! My favorite is cream of wheat, then cornmeal pap. We would also make in the BVI🇻🇬 what we call milk n rice (rice porridge) but I don't know how to make it. Thanks for the recipe!🤗

If it turns out good, I'll give the ingredients as a gift to my sister that is caring for my Mom, quick and easy. We're Belizean so I understood the assignment lol. 👍🏿
