As someone who has a decent grasp on rpg maker (and played/looked through the whole game in the engine) I can explain Ernesto: At the beginning of the game you name your character, this name is saved onto the 31st actor AKA character in the game's database To get the game to say that name in text you write \N[31] in the text editor However there are times where the dev didn't put \N[31] but instead put \N[11] meaning the game will say the name of the 11th character in the database Character 11 just happens to be Ernesto And Ernesto is just the placeholder name for the male character model (Ernesto is also the name of the dev), while Cynthia is the placeholder name for the female model

I don't think he's harsh on creepy pasta games at all. They're usually the absolute lowest tier of gaming production. Hell creepypastas are usually the worst stories ever written so why wouldn't the games be shit too

I think the sequence breaking made the first game more entertaining. Like the nonfunctional walls. It's like some kind of shitty Skyrim where the glitches end up more entertaining than the actual main questline, except they hired a writer from FFnet circa 2006 from the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom to write the script instead of someone who is over 14 and can actually speak english.

The music in the Spiders/Bubsy fight was a heavily remixed Spider Dance, Muffet's theme in Undertale. The Jeff's Mech fight also used a heavily remixed Undertale theme, pretty sure that was Hopes and Dreams.

idk even why i'm commenting this, but 46:02 in rpg maker vx ace, when you make a choice command it defaults to that when you cancel the choice, it selects the 2nd option - since the default choice is a yes/no it makes sense. the dev (if you can even call them that) just forgot to change it. *the more you know* ⭐ (?)
