I really like the idea of the urban legend journey that you said but the problem is it just devolves into a self insert fan fiction and it gets to friendly and cringy where it becomes a self parody. That said if they know its cheesy then I can deal with it better if they also try a bit.

Though the only creative powers the creepypasta community seems to have is drawing. And even then it's 7 times out of 10 still bad. It's the same character, but the character wasn't made by the "developer" of Creepypasta Land because god forbid people who make games about creepypastas come up with something original. Rather, Sally is a character from a creepypasta where her uncle or step-dad or some male guardian... doesn't ask for consent before beating her to death, and she ends up haunting the house where it happened. The story is in incredibly poor taste and I wouldn't recommend reading it at all (same could be said for about 95% of creepypastas tbh)

And you clearly DONT respect their work, otherwise you wouldnt just steal it. The reason YOU don't have original assets is because you could make any, or couldnt be bothered to. Turns out, it's hard work, and you just basically said "thanks for all that hard work, guys, I'm giving you nothing in return" There's tons of free stuff, either completely royalty free, or free if you don't use it to make money. 90% of KZbin uses Kevin MacLeod's free music, why not do that as well. (incompetech.com/, not plugging, just for your convenience) What also doesn't count: "no copy-right infringement intended" What does that even mean? "I didn't mean to steal it, but I did...". "Used for review purposes". In some cases, but not if you're gonna use it in your game, or as a song uploaded to KZbin. Listening to it isn't the same as reviewing. Not even if you afterwards say "that was such a cool song". I don't give a rat's ass honestly, and you're unlikely to face any reprecussions, but let's at least be honest about it. On the flipside there's people ripping sprites and saying "Ripped by 420daKilla, don't use without permission"... It wasn't yours to being with, dude... Again, steal whatever you want, but don't be arogant about it. Ripping sprites isn't work or being an artist. I know to YOU it seems like a lot of work. Probably all of 30 minutes. When it comes to classic Creepypasta, a majority have aged poorly. Slenderman however is still kinda good, as the idea of an absurdly tall, faceless humanoid creature in a suit that is stalks people for unknown reasons does enter that uncanny valley of being creepy. The only problem is that his fanbase is still insanely cringe due to too many fangirls running amok in it.

Pokemon Mysteries L 2. Another Pasta- This game at least started off promising, but fell flat on its face when in it the stripper job side quest thing. Granted it didn't have much story, to begin with, but many old games didn't. So it was up to you to decide on what the story was. Then bam stip till you go to jail. Granted in a way you still had to tell some kind of story. But it just led wtf was going on. I mean it had effort, but then the developer just got lazy. So it falls behind a freaking unfinished demo! 3. Jeff the Killer: Blood Eclipse 4. Creepy Pasta War-Aside from the shitty storytelling (no not because of the bad English, but hey at least they have an excuse!) and poor gameplay mechanics it hurt it. I mean sure the story was stupid, but a stupid story could work if handled well. Heck, some of the gameplay could have worked if it actually had a well-handled story or the developers fully understood what they were doing. In this case, they didn't know what the heck they were doing and with the going diagonal aside, I honestly think the developers just gave up at this point realizing the game was garbage because of the poorly executed gameplay and just went on an early lunch break and never came back to actually finish the final level. This game is garbage, but it had somethings going for it that could have work. 5. Creepypasta Universe 6. Creepypasta.exe
