The hygeine products disposal bin is so high because it went in after the tiles; this is not bad design, it is undesigned. The deficiency became clear after everything went in, and installing it over the tiles would mean drilling through the tiles, calling for expensive hardware and risking shattering the tile, so they did this instead.

Kinda reminded of a good case in our capital. So, in a subway, a guy fell onto the rails. Now, people knew that another train was approaching fast, so there wasn't much time left to save him. They were trying to wave at the cameras, alert the staff, anything to save the guy. But it was too late. Nobody noticed them in time and train came in. Now, only AFTER this all, the subway guys said there are buttons on the very edges of the platform which will stop the incoming train. It's there specificaly for these cases. And of course, not just that NOBODY knew it was there, not even people that use subway every day, but they put it at the corners of the platorm, where nobody would even see them. A good idea to put that thing there, too bad nobody knows it's there.

Given how the switch next to it is in the off position, I'm guessing that one _is_ used to manually switch something on and off, and these zip ties were applied after *yet again* someone accidently turned off breaker 7 instead of breaker 8. (but yeah, there's no safety hazard, it only prevents manually flipping the switch, it won't prevent the breaker from tripping)

6:30 Many circuit breakers are designed to be able to trip even if the handle can't move, like in this image. The handle is actually more of an indicator, and in most of them you actually have to flip all the way to the off position before you can flip it back on. Unless it's poorly designed, which, it might be.

Saw a cyber-truck yesterday in Portland. I busted out laughing. My mom made a Halloween costume for herself out of cardboard and tin foil so she could be a robot when she was five. OMG. That trust me, I'm an electrician one, those are circuit breakers. They are supposed to break the circuit (turn it off) when it is overloaded and generating too much heat. The zip ties are holding the switch closed so that it doesn't turn off. If it doesn't turn off and it generates too much heat, you get fire.

you may not know that about those breakers on a panel tied by a zip tie but most of european switch breakers when triped can't be reset untill the sliter is fully down so the zip tie might be either a dumb way to keep switch up (which wouldn't work by the way due to switch internal construction) or is it a way to keep from people messing with it while electrician work on the other end, because to make circut live they would have cut the zip tie, let the lever go down and then force it back up

6:19 the problem here isn’t that they use zip ties. The problem is that they are locking the breaker in the on position, thus destroying its primary purpose, which is to shut off the circuit when too much current goes through it. It has probably been going off repeatedly recently due to a serious fault somewhere. This is a massive hazard, equivalent to Wheatley unplugging the reactor core warning system to “fix it.”

Forcibly holding a breaker in the on-position will not prevent it from tripping. Once it trips the switch actually needs to move to the off-position before the circuit can be reenergized by moving the switch back to the on-position. The only thing this zip tie does is prevent someone from _manually_ turning the circuit off.
