Planet Zoo presents the most authentic animals in videogame history. From playful lion cubs to mighty elephants, every animal in Planet Zoo is an individual who thinks, feels and explores the world you build around them. They care about their surroundings and each other, with complex environmental and social needs. Nurture your animals throughout their lives, study and manage every species to see them thrive, and help them raise young to pass their genes onto future generations.
Manage your own zoo in an expressive world that reacts to every choice you make. Focus on the big picture or go hands-on and look after the smallest details. Thrill visitors with prestigious animals and famous exhibits, develop your zoo and research new technologies, and release animals back into the wild to repopulate the planet.
Unleash your creativity with the next evolution of Planet Coaster’s best-in-class creation mechanics. Craft stunning scenery and habitats, dig lakes and rivers, raise hills and mountains, and carve tunnels and caves as you build your own zoo. See your animals and visitors respond to your creative vision, and share your designs with friends in Planet Zoo’s online community. Bring the world’s greatest designs home to your own zoo for your animals and visitors to enjoy.

Great vid, nice idea for a series. A quick for doing terrain distribution to make the animal happy is to click the picture and the brush comes straight on, no need to open the terrain tab. So if you hover over and it says you need short grass just click on it and the brush will switch to short grass.

There are a few times (best example is 03:54) where it looked like you basically cut a piece in half before placing it - how does that work? I know you can 'shrink' stuff by sinking it into the ground etc. but that didn't look like what was happening here? Apologies if this is a basic and obvious PlanZoo question, I didn't get a chance to play the beta but I've played a decent amount of PlanCo and all the decoration tools look the same!

I believe that I've noticed that there is a rocks maximum an exhibit/habitat could have in it. I noticed that when I place a lot of rocks the % for rocks (ground texture) goes up. It's extremely slow tho, so you can have a ton of them, but there seems to be a max. lovely new video, love the new series, keep them comming :)

I had to make this comment immediately, before even watching the rest of the video. Less than 30 seconds in to the video I knew instantly that I'm going to love this series purely from the statement that this habitat is "so green and flat, I'm surprised old men aren't throwing bowls at it". After the initial hype of planet zoo dies down a little after it's released, I hope this is something you'll consider transferring over to planet coaster (or even any other creative game)

Hey! I'm a gardener and tropical plant keeper by heart. I love the plants in the game. I would love to see the "swiss cheese" plant placed along a large tree, growing up the trunk. Its an aborial plant and gives you a chance to get foilage up high, just connect them in a "vine" :) 💘 your videos. And I can't wait for the game to Come out Fully!!. My usual worry when meshing rocks and foliage together is the idea that it looks weird for plants, particularly trees, to just be sticking out of solid surfaces. I know there are some plants that CAN grow on rocks, and then there's how freeze-thaw weathering can lead to seeds growing from the middle of them, but I just struggle to make it look natural and real rather than just look plopped down. Although some times I make the excuse that the rock has been carved out to fit a plant that has been manually...well, planted....like what happens with a ton of gardening and animal habitat exhibiting in real life. EDIT: You've done a path and building tutorial. Are, or would you consider, doing a terrain tool tutorial? Explaining each tool, showing how to utilise them best when making habitats and other features and, I feel most useful and most important, how to use the terrain in conjunction with fences and paths. For example, getting water or perfectly straight cliff faces alongside fences with paths that go straight the fence line (or as close as Planet Zoo allows). I couldn't do it with my first attempt at a lemur island, which left a 3ft or so gap between fence and water. My second attempt, with a lowered fenced viewing area looking onto water for a Cape Buffalo exhibit was MUCH more successful and better looking. HOWEVER, if I wasn't already there, it would have driven me insane and I hate the idea of doing it again or on a much bigger scale cause it was so time consuming they way I did it. So I'm hoping you'd be able to show there's a much easier way to pull if off.

So I have this problem where I try to design "good" looking exibits which also provide a good viewing experience for the guests. But I always end up making things to big for the animal I have in there. I also run in to problems with that guests (even if I place custom walkways with glass walls) can't get "a good" view of the animal. My question is really, how do you balance style, animal needs and guest needs and still make it look good? My Zoos are losing Money in most cases and I have a hard time spending time building rather then just puting outfires sort of speak. Love this kind of content, gives me idés and are entertaining. Keep it up. Been subed since the Coaster Days and I Watch your content for these type of videos.
