Your books have helped me immensely. Yip my entire biological family , take offense easily, and their emotions are very unregulated, I don't tip toe around them like I use to. I also don't allow them much access in my personal life. Everything is surface level with them, and it's so much better.

Here as well. Sadly, when people aren't willing to take any accountability for their words, actions, communication it's pretty much impossible to resolve conflict. "There must be some desire to collaborate in some way," as Terri said. If it's one sided it won't work. Unfortunately walking away is all we can do to live a functional life. 💜

Terr- my savior! This topic is so important to me. My sister likes to exaggerate situations and add doom and gloom. I try to shut it down but she gets nasty. I need your guide to help me. All your guides have helped and your books, podcasts, classes and live classes have been a tremendous help for me - - THANK YOU!

I wonder when we should avoid conflict. Being raised in a home of parents being alcoholic i avoided conflicts my whole life but i wish I confronted some people who bad mouthed me out of jealousy. I simply walked away which i felt was also leaving me resentful. I feel talking to many aggressive people is just impossible. I stay away from drama people nowdays. My life feels peaceful. Thanks so much Terri Ur a gift to many women ❤

Thanks for these valuable insights as always Terri. Bit by bit, step by step I am improving my life thanks to you 🙏🏼 Can't wait for your audio book version of 'Too Much'. Listening to your Boundary Boss book empowered me to be my own boundary boss. Somehow listening felt more like therapy than reading a book.

That makes me so happy to hear ❤️❤️ Depending on where you live, the audiobook for Too Much should be out!

Yes, they make the MOST of any slight situation! This is my mother. I can't believe that my defining character to some is being used as a pawn. What I woke up to see today just stole my consolation and closure. Will this ever end?! I need HELP to deal with this latest twist, please! It has to stop. 😟 Unfortunately if this person is deceptive about what they are up to, they will not admit it. I am really interested in these rules of engagement. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It can be so difficult when it's a parent. Sending love ❤

@terri_cole Thank you. I will try this but if things get worse with her I won't be able to care for her after my dad passes. I just can't physically let it consume me.

high conflict people v.s. healthy functional conflict ..... HOw much of it is learned ? ... ;;; before I listen.... my ideas: high conflict people are often LOW in agreeablness trait and LOW in openness trait, often dont respect other people needs/wants (boundry bullies), often controlling, not willing to discuss issue back and forth ..... Requires time to discuss issues back and forth and find concensus.....
