@@Lae-zel_enthusiast The dog basically only barked in the shelter, which many dogs do (even the friendly ones) and after that was totally fine with human and dog contact. The "snapping in the air" when the people approached him from behind, was because they spooked him and didn't think their actions through. Sure, he was a stressed out dog in the shelter and also not sure about what happened to him. But that's the case with the majority of shelter pets. I am in shelter and rescue work for about two decades now and have seen and owned several traumatized pets. This dog isn't traumatized.

I agree with you on that. When my sister brought home her ex-boyfriend's cat cause he was abusing him it took Snare a long time to heal physically and mentally. He had wounds all over him from stress, I still remember the wounds and just going into detail will make me tear up, he was sick, and the one thing that took him longer to hear from was him being around men. He had a fear if men because of what he went through. In the beginning when he saw my dad or brother he would get scared and run and hide. I don't remember how longer it took him to realize that these two men weren't gonna hurt him I was just a 7 year old girl who knew that he needed help. 11 years have gone by since that first day. Snare is happy, healthy, and living out his golden years with me. He is no longer the sick and scared cat that he once was. But a price was made when I rescued him. The wounds that I mentioned in the beginning I can never forget. But like I always say when I tell people about what my boy had faced, it was price that worth it in the end because Snare is alive. My parents wanted to send Snare to try shelter and I knew what that meant. He was to sick, to scared to be in a shelter. I feared the worst and kept thinking that if I give up it would be Snare who would pay the price so I kept fighting to save his life. He realized that he was safe now and started to fight to get better. He is now a Mama's boy who comes running meowing at me. I still remember screaming at my parents anytime they brought up wanting to send Snare to a shelter.

Just burst into tears seeing him climb in his daddies lap like that, finally allowing himself to a cor that's hes home, safe and loved. 😭 He's absolutely gorgeous. It breaks my heart that SO many dogs are being killed because too many ppl want puppies, and so many ppl cant even look after a dog for crying out loud. I mean at the very least *feed* them! But at least this story has a happy ending..I do love a foster fail! Ha! 😍😍🤩❤

OhThank Goodness! Big Sigh, I LOVE foster fails. As I was watching the video the point where he jumped on your lap and Finally let his guard down (and picked YOU) to trust is USUALLY the point where other fosters have a new adopter lined up only to confuse the dog...(in my opinion) Thank you for giving this Puppers his LIFE, not sure he had one before you and Thank you for helping other puppers that may come your way in the future.

People who throw or just leave there animals don’t deserve there love I mean my lab had a trashy owner when he was a 5 week old puppy and he was so cute the owner of him was gonna euthanize him I didn’t allow that to happen they gave me a story of “They didn’t get attached to him because they wanted to get a German Shepard or pit bull” in my mind I was like if you can’t take care of this dog what makes you think you can have a pit bull or German Shepard plus they didn’t even feed him so he was eating anything off the ground and for that he hade heart worms and another type of worm that ate half the food he ate but now he’s worm free and almost two years old!

I was mauled by a chow when i was a kid. I came to understand dog behavior and know that he did that because his owners tied him to a tree his whole life. I suggest you start with tiny dogs. She will warm up if she meets a tiny little one that just wants her to love him. I suggest not getting a chihuahua. They bite. And try not to get a hyperactive one either, like mini poodles.

I wish ppl wld adopt kids like the way they get excited abt adopted dogs. Have u seen the kids in foster care it's sad. I feel like they put way more effort into animals and don't think twice abt children, I am glad they help all these dogs but mean while there are children starving on the street or in government housing being beat by foster parents. Put this energy into the children too.

This is such a beautiful story. That doesn't even look like the same dog. He looks so loved now and the look in his eyes is just unconditional love for the people that saved him. Thank God I have to rescue dogs and they are my world and I love them so much so I understand the feelings that have been intertwined between you and this dog especially. He just looks so handsome so beautiful when I saw him climb up on the lap and cuddle that's when I was just amazed. Both of my dogs do that now my little Chihuahua is a lap dog but the chow-chow saw her getting in my lap so she's 85 pounds and she backed her butt right up on top of my lap and tried to be a lap dog too and we were just laughing because it's so cute she doesn't know how big she is. I see so many animals that are so cruelly not taking care of properly and not loved and abused for no reason so thank you for saving this one
