I seen "Terrifier 2" opening night, the audience energy was great(full price, worth everypenny) . it put most of the usual high dollar horror movies to shame, to quote Jeff Bridges from "Iron Man"- "Damien Leone built this in a cave... with a bunch of scraps!!!"(250k budget). Lauren LaVera as Sienna is definitely on my list of favorite final girls. "Terrifier 2" is more worthy of a theatrical release than "Halloween Ends", T2 earned every penny and deserves more.

Terrifier 2 was fan funded, so it’s so cool to see it doing so well. Also, Damien, the director, is a special effects artist, so of course the movies are all about showing the effects off. I agree 2 would have benefited from an editor as it does run too long, even for someone who has been a fan since the first Terrifier. But I still haven’t had this much fun at a horror in a long time. I disagree with Korey, if you can, see this in theaters with a big group because the crowd I saw it with was having so much fun and you can’t replicate that kind of audience feeling at home.

Our generation needs a new slasher, the Kills are gruesome but one thing that helps in watching this movie is just knowing it's practical effects. I saw some people walk out of my theater which is understandable. In today's era we mostly see CGI in our horror movies so it's cool to see some practical effects. I actually wish more movies used practical effects. It brings more life to the film. Like the movie the thing or evil dead for example

I saw Terrifier 1 and its just Art running around the film killing people, no plot, or any memorable main characters, it was more of a showcase of Art's character. Terrifier 2 is a step up in character, I liked Sieena and her brother. With that said I love this film cause one, its a break from this ELEVATED HORROR genre, second its nice to see practical effects like this, and three Art is so entertaining. He's up there with the iconic slashers and he deserves it.

The girl was inspired by all the women & kids who cosplayed as Art so Damien wrote her in. Based on the documentary, the little girl took the form of the girl Art killed & is the demon who keeps Art alive which is why she kept the head near the end.

But these Terrifier films look down right nasty and mean spirited. Kinda like the Saw or Hostel films. Just sadistic and poorly made. One thing I somewhat disagree with is the whole story thing. No, we don't go to see horror movies for the story but how the story is executed can influence the way we see the violence. Where Terrifier 2 succeeds is getting you familiar with the likeable and realistic characters. The more you get to know them, the more impactful the violence. That's why the violence never really seems to "get old" in this movie, the stakes are increased with every gruesome, HORRIBLE kill.

I love Terrifier 2 but I feel like it's too hardcore for mainstream because they cut everything back mainstream but us horror fans that watch a lot of B films are used to that gore. I seen way bloodier slashers

This is by far horror movie of the year. I went to see it (die hard horror fan) and even I was bit squeamish. Makes Rob Zombie films seem tame and makes new Michael Myers look like a baby bih!

@@matiasdevaglia4541 both. A lot better than Halloween Ends, Hellraiser or Scream 5. If you think any of those are scary at all etc. This makes them look PG. Plus… Nothing wrong with a blood filled gore fest for a slasher film. The new movies are more like pretentious drama love stories!

Okay, seriously THANK YOU! You have cleared something up for me at last! Before this video, I had no idea that "Splatter" even existed as a genre of film. But it makes so much sense: Rob Zombie makes "lite-Splatter" movies! Which is why I've never liked them. They seemed to be all about the kills and not at all about any "story", and I hated them for it! Still do, but at least I understand where they're coming from. And now I also know that I won't at all enjoy this. You have enlightened me to the ways of the Splatter.

The budget was a little over $250,000, but the practical effects alone would have been well over a Million Dollars if the film studio contracted an SFX Lab to work on the movie, Damien Leone the Director did the Special Make-Up Effects himself and that's why the movie isn't several million which is still a peanut-sized budget, The Color of the Film is an intentional filter to give it that Grindhouse look, After Effects, Has that filter as well as Other post VFX programs

Look, I get it if it's not your thing. I've been watching splatter films since I was 12 but if someone says the movies are gross, etc and it's not for them I get it. To call the people who love these movies sick is a very low blow and not true at all. Everyone at the showings has been friendly and the film makers are some of the nicest people I've seen. It's your channel and you do you but calling anyone names is wrong. You're here to criticize the movie, not the people who watch them.

Just watched it last night and I've gotta give credit where it's due. The gore, the acting, the levels of practical effects were downright incredible. It's such an homage to the 80s style of horror but adds a new flavor and doesn't get too campy. David Howard Thornton absolutely slayed the role, both comedically and demonically. The only con I had with it was the run time and just the absurdity of some things but other than that, insane movie and instant recommendation
