Guilty gear one is broken as hell but not for the reasons most people think, the easy infinites are actually Abel to be teched out of, the game never states this snd the ai will ever do it so ppl think it’s not a feature. What makes gg broken is the insane back dash, free metereless guard cancels , charge cancle combos and instant kills .

I remember that in MK2011 playing as Skarlet and under specific circumstances, it was possible to chip down about 60% of your opppnent life bar. It was way safer just to take the combo instead of blocking it.

It was worse in 96. It had no recovery time after the last hit, so you could do another one immediately when your health was red. That's why they changed the last hit's animation in 97.

I like Gokuraku. He reminds me of Shugoki from For Honor, and the kanabo spin is a neat playstyle if fully fleshed out. The move punishes blocking, and doesn't do much damage otherwise. I like that. I want to see more of that in fighting games, where the mechanics boil down to "that thing you normally do won't work against me!"

For Kabuki klash, most of those high chipping attacks can't chip you that hard if you block midair. U must jump and block.

Man, there are some really crazy moves out there. Athena's DM in KoF'97 are the one that susprised me the most. Didn't had idea its chip damage was so massive and deadly... And wrong! The Cristal Shield Bite SDM with Shot Included The moment she charges the Shot shouldn't hit the opponent, giving him a chance to punish her (thought it also happens in KoF 95).

It's not a bug, that's intended behavior for Amane. His gameplay revolves around chip damage so he has moves that hit dozens of times to make that work.

Arcana Heart 3's Dorothy with 4 cards laying flat on the ground then a wild card to complete her poker hand = about half hp either blocking or not blocking, blocking with water arcana negates chip damage, blocking with thunder arcana's extend force makes the block clash the projectiles and negate their damage. Iirc this setup can be coupled with metal arcana's Arcana Eclipse or Arcana Blaze for more chip damage (the AB can't be clashed, the AE can) Edit: Arcana Eclipses were added in AH3 Love Max!!!!!, iirc Dorothy's wild card was added there as well (and not earlier)
