Them being killed 10 years apparent is what makes me believe there's more missing girls out there connected to them. Not always the case there will have been more victims but it does seem likely, also note that if he never disposed of them in the way he did they might have never even figured out that he did that so he would never be punished, and then there would for sure have been more victims since these kind of filthy creatures don't just stop especially not once they think they can just do more without any punishment of any kind.

@@leagueaddict8357 Its amazing that it was the plumming that exposed this all. It goes to show how many crimes could he already have sucessfully flushed down the drain. Himself said it was his "bad luck" because of "bad pipes". It kind of implies he knows it can be done, he has done it sucessfully before. He also said "My fault" for procrastinting boiling the knife. A hint that he is, most likely, a serial killer. How many knifes did he need to boil to get to the point of not caring anymore? I also believe it was Rori Last FIGHT... With her spirit free, she decided not to go "Into the light" without causing something to make him get hold responsible and expose his monstrosity. He could have been successful in doing that to her but she made sure her body parts were going to be found in all the ways possible. First in the lake, then in the pipes. Even her head, that he blur out "its in the freezer", was so uncanny that it feels he was compelled to say it so by some feeling inserted on him (growing fear of getting caught caused by the complains and fussiness of the upstairs neighbors ). I do believe she died so he could finally get caught. She is the HERO of this story, together with the plumer. It rings even more true when remembering the explosive device found. How many would he have killed? Some spirits are very strong. When they exit this life, no matter how nice and irresistable the other side makes them feel - they still understand they can only departure after "setting the score" right. Things get in motion. A sequence of apparently unrelated events that somehow connect themselves and reveal a horrible picture. I do feel it was the case.

Derke Heath, yes! With the advancement of forensic science it's much harder to get away with killing than ever before. Then with with social media, almost everybody knows about it the very second it happens. Social media makes it feel there's more evil in the world than ever before when there's really not. I think people should keep realize that and as you put it, step away from being inundated with terrible news that we're overexposed with. Can you imagine what the news would have looked life if there had been social media during world War 1 and 2, or the Vietnam War or the countless other grim happening around the world like the political climate during the days when slavery was legal? The instant new from social media would have been horrendous!

Not to say that all psychopaths are serial killers or even killers, but all serial killers are psychopaths. So, in the case of a psychopatic killer, I would say death penalty. I used to be against it, but now I think it should be applied to serial killers. Why should we pay for their stay in prison? For the ones who say "it's actually more expensive to apply death penalty than keep them for life", I say "yes, because of all the appeals they're allowed to make. However, again I say " serial killers should not be allowed to make appeals. That will take the high cost of death penalty". Why should we keep people in jail that cannot be rehabilitated? You probably met people like him, but very often people like that guy look for very specific physical features like the target can only have black hair for example or the target must have a tattoo, or the target can't have a tattoo the more you watch these kind of videos about people committing these kind of crimes the more you will notice they are always looking for specific physical features on the victim, most victims are usually somewhat similar in appearance whether it is how they dress or their hair colour, etc. They rarely target people that all look fully different from each other, and a lot of them also target people that have seen a part of the crime so if someone that isn't from the cops ever asks you whether you have seen something in x place where they know you have went past you should say No, and try to look surprised if however you did see something best to call the cops, and don't return to said area. It's not a question of whether people like that exist, or how many of them are physically close to you it's a matter of do you match the physical features of their typical victims, and very often you won't these sick individuals are all out there scattered throughout, and I believe more should be done to ensure that they at least get punished for their crime in some way .

I'm in agreement with you here. I get the feeling there could be more victims. It seems unlikely that he went 10 years between killings and dismemberment given his completely nonchalant and remorseless attitude, as well as proclaiming that he had the makings of a serial killer. In terms of his sentencing, it will almost definitely increase now that Candice's body has been found. That will give courts the opportunity to upgrade it to a murder charge shifting it to a 25 year sentence, meaning there will be 50 years before he is eligible for a parole hearing, and even then I would expect a parole board to release him. That's if he even lives that long. I don't think he will see another day of his life outside prison.

@@MassimoAngotzior maybe we can teach people in our cultures that others don't deserve to *die* for doing sex work, or really any other non-violent thing we personally disagree with, and grow as a whole society? I get that having stigmatized groups helps a society self order-- designating serial killers, rapists, and p*dos as something like less dead is one thing to me, but doing it to the people we're actually commodifying in a multibillion-dollar industry that has sections that aren't illegal doesn't make us look like the good guys. These usually-women aren't being murdered all the time just out of every serial killer having a madonna/whore fixation, they're being targeted specifically because their deaths won't be hounded to the ends of the Earth like the likes of Gabby Petito was. Between looking for her and Laundrie, they found 9 other bodies-- they know the cops won't look as hard. It's not just a problem with sex work either. A loophole a prosecution on SA by non-native men on native women on reservations in the United States has subsequently left them at the highest risk of SA. Guys like Samuel Little don't get away with it for as long as they do-- for him from the 70s to the 00s and he racked up the FBI's highest confirmed kill count-- because they know who to target. People of color, the homeless, drug addicts, trans people, sex workers of any type, the very low income. Not all of those are a matter of just getting a new job, and if we're willing to just abandon all of them then maybe we aren't worth much as a society. Hell, even quitting sex work isn't that easy, it's deliberately built to not be in order to keep people in.

There are more victims. No way these are his only two. He’ll probably start dangling information to police every few years to try and get attention or some kind of tangible benefit in prison.

It seems to me that this guy was an experienced killer and it’s highly likely that he has killed more than the two girls they know of. It’s good that he’s behind bars, he was a huge danger to all young girls/women. Thanks again for a great story. 👍🏼 from 🇳🇴

It angers me that our life sentences are 25 years with the chance of parole, but with crimes like this, they usually never get out. But it would be great if a long term sentencing was available

Judges can and often give more time. If a judge says life, he means only a couple of decades. Yet another inconsistently in our legal system (anyone calling it a justice system is a damn dirty liar).

I've lived in my tiny 1 bedroom apartment for 25 years. I've often joked that I'm due for parole, soon. I can attest that 25 years is NOTHING. It FLIES by, a person just has to keep breathing air, and one day, it's been a quarter or a century that feels like it took 5 minutes. Being a true crime enthusiast since I was 9, I have seen monsters serve their "life" sentences, then get paroled, it's sickening. All those scumbags have to do is keep their noses clean, and WAIT. ANYBODY can do THAT, and it's SO unfair to the Victims and their families. THEY don't get parole, ever.

You know with Bernardo and Halmolka, Luka Magnota, Alec Minasian, and this case, Canada sure does have a lot of horrific killers in their country.

Oh, we have many more that hasn’t hit the media. Like a guy in Peterborough who shot up a bus and killing somebody (Peterborough is near Oshawa Ontario). Luka my husband knew and he a creep of all creeps even in high school with my husband. His mom lives in my hometown.

We tend to think of this as a modern and 1st-world problem, but I don’t think that’s the case. Serial/mass killers are everywhere and always have been. We’re finding them now because people are better tracked, communication and forensics are always improving, and we’re well-off enough to pay attention to something other than basic survival.

This case shook my home city. It was a scary time to be young adult/teen and seeing her face plastered all over the city. Then hearing of the retrieval of the torso… everyone knew.
