@@sanjayarora2353 indians always hating on Lillee. Probably because he was a man's man who had a backbone and charisma. And he was also a bit of a villain/bad boy. Which is good for cricket! And most of the time it's just an act. If you see Lillee interviewed, he's a very pleasant, relaxed guy.

Pace skiddy accurate and SWING that's MM. I have never seen anybody that gets the swing at that pace. Waqar and Washim also are in that category but far far from Malcolm Marshall

I was in my about 10 -15yrs then and i hv seen this team who won against every other team in the world. So many bastmen terrified to face Malcolm Marshal and myself try to imitate his bowling action. One of world best produced bowlers. Then West Indies Team was the ultimate team in the whole word. Happy memories again. Thanks for posting

How did he bowl so quick? He was not as big and strong like the others. He didn't run in quick. But his arm kind of accelerated in the delivery action.

He was unique - right amount of nippy , right amount of line & length , right amount of movement off the seam - and he finished with an average of 20 in test match ; Bumrah is somewhat similiar - not big or strong but hard to read off the wicket

It's heart warming that kids like you who are new to cricket are aware of past players 👏👏 Garner most certainly *is* in the conversation as you've mentioned him in your last two posts, kiddo ! ! And with a test bowling average of 20.97 and strike rate of 50.8 (superior to Hadlee, Lillee and Akram), so he should be. Has your dad taken you to a live cricket match yet? The 1st one is so exciting ! !!

The amazing thing about this game- Marshall took 5/29 off 31 overs but Australia scored 401 in nearly 200 overs, and won the match. Thanks to Border, Australia’s 3rd spinner, taking 11 wickets in the match!

A great bowler but you couldn't tell young bowlers to copy him because his action was unique. I don't know how he did it, sprinting in and then releasing the ball as though uncoiling a spring. I only saw him once and he was the definition of a skiddy. bowler, where it you felt that the ball gathered pace after pitching.

He was in his prime. He toned it down slightly towards the later 80's but added more variation in doing so.
