A beautiful young woman is murdered in broad daylight by a predator who prowls the streets and bicycle paths of Ottawa in search of prey. All detectives have to go on are witness descriptions of a man with an eagle tattoo, acting suspiciously on the bike paths. With a killer on the loose in this normally tranquil city, the pressure is on for Sgt Jenny Edge and the Ottawa Police to stop him before he strikes again.

Please make that call, if you see something that makes you fear for someone. If it’s someone who doesn’t mean her harm, he should be glad you called to make sure she is ok! Edit: I thought it was an adult, from the actress they used to play the witness (poor audio). But don’t expect kids to be confident in reporting to adults. Police should be kinder to kids who call, too, so they aren’t afraid to do so. I’m so glad she protected her sister. 💔

To everyone going ape over the 10 year parole application, please note that it has already been 14 years, and he is still in prison with parole denied. Just because someone is eligible to APPLY for parole does not mean they will get it. With the parole board classifying him as still high risk, it is unlikely he will ever get parole.
@missdee5169
@missdee5169 Жыл бұрын
And everyone can go ape over the 10 years if they want to. Most everyone comprehends it didn’t mean he would get out after 10 years, they were just upset that there was an opportunity to after only 10 years. Chance of parole after 10 years is an insult. Idk how it works in Canada but one of my best friends has to go in front of the parole board to give a victim’s speech every single time the guy that raped and murdered her sister is up for parole and luckily for her that didn’t start happening until 28 years after. Idk how my friend would have mentally, spiritually, and physically handle it if she had to start doing this only after 10 years.

The Canadian justice system honestly believes that catching Ardith’s killer and putting him behind bars for 10 years (with possibility of parole) is called justice?! That is so demeaning to this poor woman, she is gone forever. She had her whole life ahead of her, she was only 27 . This guy will be out when he’s almost 40. He still has a life ahead of him and can you honestly believe he is going to be a good citizen? This is an insult to Ardith and her family and friends!!!

Sorry, have I understand well? Second degree murder and 10 years? After to be free again and possibly murdering again? I have all my respect for the police and their hard and difficult job , but the politicians , understand what they are doing? Actually they invite a murderer to murder/ kill over and over again , only a cocktail party after sentencing or release is missing , because possibly the 10 years is downgraded to just 5 or 6 years 🤔 It's actually unbelievable and disgusting ? Politicians which are responsible for such nonsense should be imprisoned themselves, but unfortunately it's not only in Canada, but in Europe it's even worse!!! A murderer has more rights than his victim/s or their families! It's disgusting and outmost disturbing!

Child sex crimes weren't even documented at illegal until a law passed in the 1990's. I think. Canada is crazy. Not saying all sex crimes, because I'm not too sure on the subject, but I do know it wasn't illegal to groom or abuse children in certain ways. Sodomy was illegal before this stuff cause the country was so scared of gays rather than predators.

This is why you ALWAYS need to report ANY suspicious encounters like this. You may find serial predators this way and allow authorities to watch the area or put the public on alert. However, this time it is the failure of authorities to hold the guy on probable cause and to look at his arm when they had multiple pieces of evidence against him and let him go for 8 months.

I honestly don't need constant repeat recaps..... this clip could have been much shorter without the constant repetition, my memory is not that forgetful. I'm interested in the case, but it's so frustrating how so many shows need to treat ppl like we've all got dementia.

OMG, it sucks that he'll be up for parole in 10 years, but I have to remind myself that just because someone is eligible it's eligible for parole doesn't mean that they're going to get it. I can only hope that the Canadian Justice system will not Fold during those parole hearings in 10 years.

He gets no parole for 10 years and the young lady that he killed gets no way of having a life and her family has a life time of pain and heart ache. As soon as he gets out he's going to do it again and another young lady is going to lose her life. Wake up people and see what is going to happen. Change the laws so monsters like this don't get out and off scott free. Starting hanging them on the court house square so people will learn this is what happens when you hurt someone.

Eligible for parole in 10 years for murder and sexual assault hardly seems like a strong enough deterrent much less punishment. That sentence is outrageous but then again some crazy little Asian guy that cut the head off of a man and consumed parts of his body is walking the streets of Canada as I write this comment!

in ten years, in jail, a murder-rapist can build confidence with his keepers, and learn to act like a reformed sweet darling, and at the age of forty, having conidered all the ways to avoid leaving evidence, can embark on a renewed longterm and increased and successful career of murder and rape. If at age of twenty, a man has never learned right from wrong, but has developed a twisted criminal mind there is little chance of significant change, except for the worst. Murderer-rapists should be watched and controlled constantly, to their very last breath, never "paroled" and allowed to wander freely for even a moment. The mentaly of the confused elitist professionals who would allow him such freedom, and who do so for "administrative" and "economic" reasons; should be examined closely, and their ability to do so blocked.
