Same here, I was afk making a long sail and got absolutely l a u n c h e d into the Dark Sea. The skies were dark and misty with purple clouds/fog obscuring everything, there were constant red lightning strikes aswell, along with the sea being pretty wild. twas interesting

Im surprised no one else has discovered this already, but if you go into the secret pit with t5 insanity in Akursius, and touch the skeletons in the correct order, your insanity should drop to t1. Once this happens, there should be several grey areas left by the t5 insanity that should eventually fade out, except for one in the dark sea. If you sail towards it, you will find that it is located in the dark sea. If you’ve done the secret, and dont hop servers, you should be able to navigate the dark sea with only t1 insanity. The island is pretty far, but once you get there you will find Mimhere island. I don’t want to spoil too much about the island so you guys can explore yourselves, but you should eventually come across an exotic rarity item the “Mimhere Relic”. The item is exotic rarity and does not seem to be tradeable

Yoooo you mentioned our guild member (SpbSerega). Idk how he found that glitch, but it was fun to explore dark sea with him until our ship sunk. We actually lasted for around 20 minutes in a dark sea due to higher stability and constant repair of the ship.

3:56 I think lost and ancient magics are different from the sea curses, sea curses are basically devil fruits in lore. They also talk about each one of them separately in-game

sea curses are completely different, you are correct there can only be one (1) user of a curse at a time, as there's only one of each curse meanwhile the amount of lost and ancient magic scrolls is more than 1

@@kiryukazuma7960 you can only use one curse unless you're super lucky and manage to absorb multiple at the exact same time. the "multiple sea curses in possession" thing refers to kingdoms collecting many curses for the purpose of giving them to their military leaders. there is still only ONE curse of each type, and the only way to get a specific curse that someone already owns is to kill the person and find the curse again.

Once, i "got" in to the dark seas. I was going towards a pirate ship (which was at sandfall isle), that got flinged, and came back, when it did, i got everything from being in the dark seas : insanity appearing instantly, change of color of the screen and a huge blast of 1k damage right on my face. The effects calmed down after a few seconds tho

@@pillrat no we do know. Vetex and tech have confirmed that they do not work in the build system they have designed for the game. Curses would completely throw a wrench in weapons and fighting style routes and are massively important to the lore allowing a player to affect that is not gonna happen.

I really hope that you must have certain items unlocked by certain levels to be able to explore the dark sea, maybe like a potion where it basically makes you immune to insanity and actually see things in the dark sea. There might even be large creatures though soooo be careful out there

Spoiler for the planned concept of dark sea: In the future (when the player is around lvl 500), there will be an enchantment that will counter insanity. However, insanity should only be strong when you're really REALLY deep into the dark sea. The dark sea will be having unique items, ghost ships, fruits, sea monsters, and magic weather. There will also be randomized islands there, as well as strong af bosses/npcs. The further you go into the dark sea, the deadlier it gets.
