I absolutely love Terry's thoughts about the money! He sounds like a Texan, so what if someone makes a little more than you 8 years from now. Mahomes got all the money and more than he could have ever dreamed of coming out of Texas Tech. I'm from Lubbock and we all knew he was great, but "the best to ever play" was not part of our mindset. Mahomes is a down to earth, true Texan and will be more than happy with just having the security of that money and won't care if he didn't squeeze the Chiefs for every last penny, because he will be truly happy!

@DeCurtaRican4 жыл бұрын
Hold your horses. He’s not the best ever to play. In fact, he’s not even the best in the game today. That would be Russell Carrington Wilson; idc how much hype Mahomes gets. Don’t get it twisted; Mahomes is the truth, and he has the potential to be the greatest ever, but so did Andrew Luck. Peyton Manning was closer than Luck, and he didn’t even get there. He had four Super Bowl appearances, and two rings. Mahomes has a tough road to go with Russ, LJ, D-Wat, and Tua in the league. Russ is an especially huge threat, and right now he is better and has 8-12 good years left in him. He’s only 28-29 in football years. We don’t know what he’ll do, but right now he has had a better career than Mahomes, statistically and otherwise - even if you compare their first three years. Don’t just look at volume (i.e. 5,093, 50 and 12 for a 113 passer rating), look at everything on both sides. Russ’s first three years were better, and he’s certainly better now. And I’ll remind everyone that Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton are still in the league, as is Tom Brady. If Brady even gets close to another ring with Tampa it’s lights out on everybody. He will be known as the GOAT for the next 150 years!
@audioplugg53104 жыл бұрын
@@DeCurtaRican I'm a 9ers fan and even I have to agree that Russ is the best QB today. He's the reason I get nervous every time we play the Peahawks, I mean the Seahawks.
@josephtolsma68964 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. From his interview yesterday with local media he talked about being secure financially for his family and his potential future kids. That's what he wanted. Nothing about highest paid, etc etc. He'll cash in on endorsements as well. He got financial security but wanted to make sure other great players on the team could be rewarded financially as well. As a Chiefs fan, I feel pretty lucky at the moment.
@FAZZERxRAZZOR4 жыл бұрын
@@DeCurtaRican LOL imagine mentioning Tua and Cam ahead of Wentz... Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league (You can talk all you want, but there really is no argument). It's not Mahomes who has a tough road to go, rather the whole league has to just keep pace with Mahomes.

Its a half-billion contract, and there are people saying that's still not enough??
@5000jetadam4 жыл бұрын
Its not guaranteed. His signing bonus and guaranteed isn't too high and the contract could also be restructured in the future meaning he could potentially get more out of his current value.
@amardeepshrestha42704 жыл бұрын
Considering how much hes leaving on the table atleast half shouldve been guaranteed. He also had all the cards. Its understandable why he took a 10 year deal but the team or atleast his agent couldve done him better.

@jamesjones60694 жыл бұрын
It’s not though. He’d have to play all 12 years, win MVP every single season, and win the AFC championship every year to get 503. The sticker shock is not reality, the 141.5 million guaranteed is. It’s a good contract for him and a great deal for KC long term if he performs.

Mahomes scored every 18.6 touches passing or rushing in 2019. Prescott scored every 19.6 touches. Tim Tebow scored every 16.1 touches in his first 16 games of playing time which includes the Steelers playoff game where he broke Bradshaw's playoff record for yards per attempt that stood since 1979.
