I used to see Terry every chance I got. First saw him in Miller Beach, a suburb of Gary, then when I went to college in Hyde Park, found to my delight that he played there regularly. I was the only white guy ever invited to go out and smoke with him between sets. Beautiful memories of the sixties.

You know, after the 2nd or, 3rd time through--I was savoring this--I do remember hearing this song. Just didn't know the title. Thanks for sharing it anew.

His song "Love Theme from Spartacus" is also a wonderful song of his.

Okay, Adagiosoulb4flesh, he had me at "City Side", but that flute has me breathless. I'd never it heard before, so for 8+ minutes of bliss, I'll say, Wow! That was amazing. Especially after having just listened to Bobby Humphries' version of Satin Doll right after Callier's. Nice...both flute and song in this piece.

Give a listen to Terry's 1973 song "Ordinary Joe".

John Nielsen may have been recorded in '73, but the song is much older. I first heard it in the late sixties.
