Actually knew Terry as an acquaintance from the University of Chicago. Unfortunately I only saw him once at the Green Mill Lounge in Chicago. He was every bit as incredible as this video and much, much more... Rest in Peace my friend. You will be sorely missed.

What a beautiful musician. Lobe his music. It's a shame that Terry didn't get the recognition he deserved in the States. I will always love him and him and his music. I'm always listening to him daily. Like the rest of the great musicians he was taken away from us too too soon. I miss you Terry!!!!!!😥😥🤗🤗😎😎

Only just heard of this great man, not two months ago yet I feel like I've known him all my short life and I grieve for his passing in a way I've never really felt. Such musicians only come round once in a while.

Pharoah Sanders on tenor sax. He made two passes on this track (12 min each). Both were great and it was impossible to choose one over the other, so we took half from Tk 1 and the in the second half of the tune took Tk 2, so that we would get to enjoy a little bit of each solo - they were that great! Rest in peace and power dear Terry.

Truly a great artist. My mission is to see him live. He is truly an undiscovered giant which is so sad. He is a true poet and stands shoulders above others and he remains a distant voice but hey that is life. By the way the saxophonist in this tune is TRULY amazing - such sensitivity -such soul - such depth. Simple, beautiful and profound. I think its timepiece but hey who gives a frigging hell... I love Terry Callier. He is the DUDE.

There was such love coming from the stage. If you have not seen him live - just go!! I have just met the woman of my dreams and went for our first date to see him. Perfect!!

John Martyn and Terry must have been separated at birth. Love this deep chilled message.
@emmabarry-pheby43735 жыл бұрын
I love both their music too but John Martyn was a lost and troubled soul (when we last saw him sing he could barely articulate the words or hold his head) whereas Terry Callier was such a sage and soulful man (and the last time I saw him sing he was even more amazing than ever).
@213davidhunter4 ай бұрын
I was lucky enough to have seen John on his final tour. He was quite articulate and sounded great as he often did. He died about two months after this.

@zexxonije The correct title is actually 'Timepeace' from the album of the same name.The track listed on Welcome Home as' Timepiece' is spelt incorrectly- but i think either spelling is appropiate. The welcome home version is also the most beautiful iv'e heard-i play this every day.
