Budget builds can be cheaper than current consoles, and still run most games well. Even if a father wasn't able to afford a PC or console, I think the message to take away is that he cared enough about his son to learn what interested him. The gaming world and twitch etc. was foreign to Terry but he wanted to learn to better connect with his son; something that doesn't require any money at all.

Ahhhh, this touches my heart. My biological father was a religious conservative catholic wack-o nut who blamed video games as a vice, the devil, and the reason why I'd become a failure in life. Everything that drives my creativity and ambitious is all rooted in my continued passion for video games. Now as time goes on, and this form of entertainment has been proven to be the norm for many generations that are now working adults, I still keep my passion private because all of the shame that was cast down on me by him for spending literally any time around a console or PC. We all wish we had a father like Terry Crews who is just outright jubilant for his son to be passionate about something.

In a way, it's like watching team sports. Why would you watch other people run after a ball if you could be out there chasing a ball yourself? Same argument really. The simple answer is that people admire exceptional skill in others and love to watch professionals at play
