Well what can I say about this song that hasn't already been said. Sheer Class. I adored this album in the 70's. Sorry about the wobbly bit in the video but I took my eye off the camera for a while to dance with my good lady, remembering those times we danced to it over 30 years ago.

I saw Terry bReid twice once at Oxford Town Hall and then on the Isle of Wight. I have never understiood why this man wasn't the biggest star of all. He was awesome. River possibly the best album ever recodred.

Check him out on Facebook. He did two at home gigs. It's like a front row seat. Had the pleasure of meeting him two years ago. So funny and humble. Good soul. Signed my copy of Seed of Memory. Being in the same room when he does that... goosebumps!

I guess almost nobody's found this video. Just 93 likes! What a tragedy! Terry, if you happen to read this, thanks man, you're one of my heroes. There's no-one I'd rather meet than you. I bought River and Seed of Memory when they came out and I still listen to you more than anyone else. I've listened to River so much I even understand almost all the lyrics. But who cares, right? You change them every time you sing; you're like a blues guitarist who chooses his notes so carefully and never repeats a solo. Love you, brother.

Terry Reid was one of those guys back in the sixties that everyone seemed to know about (like, "this guy is really good!"), but who didn't ever seem to hit any kind of big time, for whatever reason. I guess he was ploughing his own furrow then, and it's good to see he's still doing that now. Good post.

Yes, amazing album...I just bought two copies on vinyl, one new 180Gram, and and old mint copy, then taped it onto metal cassette for the car...I'm going backwards! F*&^kin Ipod broke anyway, crap.... I read an interview that said Terry was touring so turned it down ZEP to honour his established work commitments....and then recommended John Bonham and Plant for the zep job..... RIVER is such a classic.....

I have most of the lyrics after tediously listening and writing them down, I have scoured the internet with no results, theres just some I cant make out...does anyone have a disc or vinyl copy with the lyrics on the cover or something?
