Hi Mark, the sentry viewer works better now! You can touch the screen just before the red dot to jump to that point, and it chooses the camera that triggered the event...

Yeah I've noticed it saves a bit o battery vs it going off when an old lady walks past with her shopping.

What is going on with Audiobooks? I was excited for this but Ive got nothing in the Audio books section. I use the free car account, do I need to singup and pay for a Spotify acct now just to get Audiobooks???

I wonder if you can mirror smartphone to dashboard screen. For instance I have BMW with iDrive 8.0 and capable to mirror image from my phone. Also I’ve done playing games using Xbox Game Pass subscription playable through phone then mirror through dashboard then wireless connect with controller.

No unfortunately this isn’t possible on a Tesla (without a 3rd party app) but it does have a web browser so might be able to access the Xbox game pass!

The 80% is most likely due to the data that Tesla has collected over the years and figured out that owners have been using less than 80% of the range daily and also plugin daily but charged to only 80% max, hence they changed the recommendation. If you need the extra range, there are no worries about charging over 80% daily. No worries about charging to 100% either once and a while and of course before a really long trip. But I will not to charge 100% or even to 90% every single day, especially if you don't need the range daily. Just drive it to 5-10% and re-charge overnight or something once a week or once every two weeks depending on your needs. Remember that charging cycles is more wearing the battery rather than charging to 90% of 100% and not driving within the next hour.

With this update, alerts sounds like collision alert while going with rear gear or intermittent lights are with very low volume. Today I hit my car on a parking because of that 😡, I was going on reverse drive and collision alert was so low volume that I didn't hear it and hit the car with a spine... Are you noticing that or is a bug on my car?

Oh really thats strange, it is possible to turn these up, when they are happening without music on, turn up your volume and it should increase the sound levels.

It's curious that you had "90%" as daily usage before. In my case, it's been "80%" recommended from day 0 (2 years ago). Could it be that the "daily" is now computed based on the exact kind of battery or some other metrics as opposed to some hard defaults?

Yeah mines been 90% since purchase in 2021 as I had the updated model. Strange it’s only changed to 80% in 2023

looking forward to your Apple Watch Shortcut video. I have it installed on my Watch unfortunately 2 of the shortcuts do not work Open & Close Trunk all the others work just fine. I have contacted Tesla Service for help I will send you what they send to me to fix my problem…as soon as it arrives.

@@MBrown well that kinda makes me feel better I had myself singled out just because I looked forward to opening the boot with the app. I’m sure Tesla will come out with a fix soon. I was using Watchla I had some problems with it working quite a bit.

Same here. Several of the shortcuts don’t work. I removed them using the Tesla App and redid them using the Tessie App and they work much better.

I have a theory that Tesla lowered the charge to 80% to free up superchargers quicker.

I definitely want to see the video for the commands on the Apple Watch. I was definitely disappointed to see the recommended 80%. I was charging it between 85-90% and it although it doesn’t seem like a lot, it makes a huge difference.
