Is it suitable for disabled passengers? Not sure why a low-slung two seater coupe would make a better cab then the traditional upright two box.

@@GoGreenAutos because in the UK at least, it will not be moving !! Not any time soon that is. Tesla will have to eat humble pie and re-introduce radar / USS for it to work. I think Tesla has pretty much abandoned the UK as a viable market for its future technology strategy? Roads and parking spaces too small, strange traffic layouts and it rains a lot !!

Because the Cybertruck suffered from years of delays, there was significant inflation. Plus they struggled with the exoskeleton design so had to start again with the body design. Neither of those looks like it will be an issue with the Cybercab as it should start rolling out of a factory before inflation changes the pricing.

Because something like 90% of all taxi rides are only 1 or 2 people. If you need to carry more, you either get a Model 3 or Y (and there's millions of those already on the road which will also operate as robotaxis) or you get two cabs.

Think of a stereotypical New York yellow cab. There's no sitting up front next to the driver, so it's really a 2 adult ride. The CrybabyCab is just an unimaginative unambitious substitute for existing inefficient transport option, with the human labour cut out to save on costs. Anyone who actually wants to solve traffic and provide transport services would build something with 4 to 6 seats and space for luggage, as a last-mile option operating from a transport hub for busses, trams and trains to get between major hubs.

I would rather have a tesla with self driving but also a steering wheel and brakes so i can avoid the crashes that this thing would have. Even if its 99.9% perfect then who wants to be in it on its 1000th journey knowing your luck is running out and you have no way to avoid the accident.

Yes I was expecting higher more upright seating, more like a Model Y. Still, they'll also be Model Ys operating on the robotaxi network, so pensioners can hail those. And the existing cars will be operating on the Tesla robotaxi network before these new Cybercabs.

@@Zam_from_NerdTube it’s not meant to be driven by a human, hence the name Robotaxi. As for it only having 2 seats, research shows that most taxi journeys are only undertaken by 1 or 2 people.
