Hi from the UK. Absolutely loved it Sir. Keep em coming.🥴 Your commentary content is just right for me. Looking forward to your first take on Version 13.

Thank you so much!!! Love this comment! And love the UK. I trained with some Royal Marines back in the day long ago. I’m still recovering from hanging at the pubs with them 🤣. I hope yall get FSD soon! And thanks for watching and commenting! ❤️

JC I enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up! My wife got her model y about 3 weeks ago. I drive it any chance I get! Just wondering if you’ve encountered a keep moving sign instead of a yield when merging? I live in the woodlands and there are few here. While using FSD, the vehicle wants to yield every time. I had to intervene because I didn’t want to get honked at or rear ended. Born and raised in Nederland by the way. Thanks!

Thank you sir!!! Congrats on the MY! Thats awesome! Don’t hesitate to let me know if y’all have any questions. And that’s an interesting question about the keep moving sign vs yield. Is there a specific place in the woodlands for this? I think I may have encountered one of these before. I was like “is there a stop sign or something here?” 🤣 But let me know where and I can go test it out the next time I’m in the Woodlands area. Thanks for watching and commenting!!! ❤️

@@johnchristopher7697there’s one heading on gosling merging onto 242 and also coming off woodlands parkway heading north on 45.

It would be interesting to see how fsd would react at 32:00 if it was in the front line of the red light, not behind another car
@johnchristopher7697Ай бұрын
Yeah I would have likely had to intervene is my guess. Funny thing is the cars behind me were also blinded and not moving. I usually go with the “honk test”, and it passed 🤣

Another classic! Are you still using the Hurry Up speed profile exclusively?
@johnchristopher7697Ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes still on Hurry mode. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

@@johnchristopher7697 I like the way Auto/Hurry Up performs in your videos, BUT I’d be concerned about going more than 5 m.p.h on neighborhood streets and more than 10 on the highway. I feel like that would default me to the percentage offset. Hurry Up in of itself would be fine for me with those caps. I have seen that you can dial a real time adjustment with the wheel. But like you, I want it as hands off as possible.
@johnchristopher7697Ай бұрын
Yes, even though Tesla FSD has automatic set speed offset, it is still a work in progress, and we have to supervise while still being improved. You can always adjust the speed manually with the scroll wheel if you feel the speed is too high.

Can a driver intentionally crash a Tesla or run into another car or pedestrian with FSD enabled?
@johnchristopher7697Ай бұрын
The only way a supervisor could make a Tesla on FSD intentionally have a accident is to disengage FSD or push the accelerator hard (which would also disengage FSD). Obviously I have not tried this nor plan on it :-) lol, but you would have to override it manually. That is one of the reasons in the Cybercab (which is not yet in production), they don't have any pedals or steering wheel so it can't be commandeered like that, unlike Waymo where they have had these issues from time to time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@johnchristopher7697 So if someone grabbed the steering wheel while in FSD and yanked it one way or another, _nothing_ would happen? Not even some kind of alert? And if you did this, would the steering wheel feel locked or would it spin an have no effect?
@johnchristopher7697Ай бұрын
@@workingTchr If someone reached over you and grabbed the steering wheel, they would need to tug pretty hard, as the FSD software keeps a very tight hold on the steering wheel. It definitely provides alot of friction, and would require someone to actively try to do it and not just be a mistake. Obviously this is a bigger issue in a normal car :-) lol

@@johnchristopher7697 In a regular car you're not lulled into a sense of "complacency". You're always alert. Once these things regularly start driving themselves (and they are now!), having that steering wheel right there that can control which way an 80mph capsule goes is kind of scary. Maybe that's why Musk at one point said he didn't see a big future for FSD in non-robo taxi type cars. Having one or the other but not both might be where it's going. Or just lock that steering wheel down 100%. If you try to turn it, "Operator Alert Operator Alert..."

@@workingTchr In a normal car you don't have an in cabin camera ready to take over if you get complacent. That's why there are over 45k deaths each year in normal cars, and over 1M accidents. Teslas with FSD are far and away safer, the statistics bear it out. I suppose that is why you are interested and watching these videos. And thank you for watching and commenting on mine!
