Good catch on the model Y's in the tent. I counted 5 and there is 1 in the parking lot.

The large crates in that tent contain Lithium Batteries. (according to the warning labels)

@@CiaranKing They are most likely full model Y packs. The crates have "Penthouse" markings indicating which side is which (penthouse = elevated part of the pack where the contactors, management boards, converters/inverters etc. live).

So frustrating to see Tesla continue to not fit solar as a matter of course to the whole of their brand new facilities. So many benefits to doing it at the time of construction rather than retrofit. The whole lack of solar power generation at their facilities is a complete head scratcher for me.

@@flybrandenburg That's great but it really should be done from the outset; starting out as you mean to go on. Coal, unfortunately, as you will be aware, still features heavily in Germany's energy matrix. Tesla, by not doing everything it reasonably can to avoid emissions is inadvertently contributing to the prolonged presence of coal in the country's energy supply chain. For a company whose oft stated mission is to speed up the transition to sustainable energy and transportation, not following through with actions on the ground in as many aspects of their business activities as possible - let's just say that this is talking the talk, but not walking the walk. [VERY] few of Tesla's facilities have or are, solar powered.
