Plus can carry 5 people in comfort, range about 400miles and cost $12-24 in electric cost a month. Set an impressive ring times of 7:35 so it clearly doesn't handle too bad either.

30 mph actually puts the Porsche at a low rpm in 2nd gear (turbo lag rpm). For it to be in its powerband you would need to start the race at a higher speed like 40-45 mph.

In most cases, the best way to get the quarter mile time from the Tesla is to warm up the battery by typing in a supercharger location and preconditioning the battery. This warms up the battery and results in more horsepower for the first few launches. This has been shown to ad as much at 35 horsepower.

I like how this video shows that in most real world situations short of the Autobahn, (so all real world situations here in the U.S.), the Tesla is quicker than the awesome Porsche 911 S that typically cost more than $130k U.S. Sure, testing by Car and Driver and Motor Trend show that in a best case scenario, the Porsche can run the quarter in 11.2 and the Tesla M3P takes 11.5 (both with rollout), and the Porsche won the drag here after it "warmed up" its tires with tire shredding drifts, but how often are Porsche owners willing to smoke 5-10,000 miles of tread life to "warm up their tires" in order to get a best launch. The Tesla can do its best launch anytime, anyplace, and even in the rain.

I love Porsche 911 always have but, I drove the model 3 and the instant power is amazing and so addictive I honestly never ever thought I would like it so much the car goes to exactly where you want it instantly without delay. I didn't want to get out of the car I wanted to keep driving it for fun. You have to drive a Tesla to know what I'm talking about. It really is amazing and definitely the future. As soon as you drive one you'd know the age of internal combustion engine is over. You got to remember we are comparing a sports car Legend and benchmark with decades of history and experience to a couple of years old Electric sedan that is half the price this by itself is an indicator for what's to come. Now imagine when a dedicated two-door sports car comes from Tesla? It'll completely destroy the internal combustion engine competition. I'll always love certain ICE legends but we can't deny the auto industry will shift very soon.

Tesla seems to have the wheels behind the line, but if you also do a slight measuring for the crack (to the right of the 911 after the 3rd cracked line, the vertical line does not level) So as per verifying all these information its a Tie.

For the rolling race, you should use track mode. It allows higher thermal limits on the battery and motor. In the close up shots to the speedometer during the rolling race, you can see that the Model 3 was not giving full power because of the dots trailing the power bar .... When the car is full power, the bar should go all the way to the right and not follow by some dots.

You're going to love the M3 on the bends too. More space inside, auto pilot, Spotify, KZbin, Netflix and Hulu when parked. No engine maintenance, lots of trunk space, Dog Mode, Regen brakes give advantage against someone with foot on brake pedal

Track mode doesnt heat the battery. Quite the contrary. Thats why it isnt good for drag racing. Cools battery down, which is bad for the power output and sucks energy out. Multiole tests have shown that you will be faster without track mode.
