Thanks Jeremiah for an excellent review. I am just in the stage of putting in an order for a Model 3. I first wanted the Y but then we got the Highland here in Europe (Sweden) and then it was easy to see that even though Y is so much roomier the 3 refresh is what I want. And after seeing your thoughts about everything of you car, the choice is pretty darn easy. Your review covers all the spots I am interested in to hear about a car. So soon not a petrol guy anymore even if I have the luxury to drive a company car I am totally sick of paying the gas for my private drivin every month.. These bills are insane. I agree with everything you said. I've had my 2023 Tesla model y performance for 4 months now and I love it. It is weird driving other cars because they feel old and muscle memory from driving the Tesla kicks in. Sometimes I forget and try to change into reverse with the steering wheel lever. I always want to drive the car no matter how short the trip is. I supercharge exclusively and I thought it would be annoying but honestly I only have to charge once a week and it costs me $11 and takes 35 mins to charge to 90%. So that's not even an issue for me. A few annoying things about the car, just so I don't sound like a fan boy is the car has so much tech and it can get confusing during quick response situations. Like for instance I supercharged the car (my windshield was completely clear) and after driving my windshield started fogging up on the highway. I had to pull over and activate the defrost. After pulling over the defrost took a minute to clear the windshield. Also when you put the car in reverse there's 3 camera views that pop up and the side mirror point down and that gets to be to much info so I changed it to just the back up camera. Bluetooth won't connect sometimes and I can't listen to music and sometimes the car doesn't unlock when I walk up. It's honestly the best car though. So much space, power, comfort and looks great too. I charge to 90% and I get anywhere from 180-200 miles per charge. Also I never use autopilot because the car is just so smooth and easy to drive.

Coming up a year with my Y, and I pretty much agreed with every point you made... except the ugly trim thing; I have no idea what you were even talking about there! We even did a roadtrip towing a 2800lbs camper for a few weeks. It just works. Oh, we didn't do PPE, but I wash it like you do and it still looks new ... except for where I read-ended the trailer hitch into the back. :-(

Jeremiah - what is the name of your radar detector mount. I have one specifically made for my escort redline series but it really doesn’t fit correctly with the rear view mirror ! I like the way yours sits (behind the mirror) where mine pushes it more forward. Additionally the clamp hinders the mirror from adjusting correctly. Anything you can suggest would be so helpful. Keep up the good work - love the knowledge sharing ! You are amazing
