I ended up purchasing an end of the year 23 in December that they had in inventory with pretty good discount. Unfortunately, no hitch although I will probably have one installed and should still end up a little ahead. Never thought about the software. Thank you for the update.

Ordered mine when I placed the order for the car. Glad that I did, didn't know anything about the tow mode until a friend pointed out a twitter thread complaining about aftermarket options not working. Just taken delivery of the car today. :)

Tesla should redesign this whole towing setup, including the ridiculous dirt collector shelf built into the bumper plastic. The cover is a poor design given the challenge of removing it.

I just chucked the cover into my small storage compartment and leave the adapter installed with the plug cover in place. I doubt if it makes any difference to the streamlining of the car, and it goes through my local touch less car wash fine.

What is the Tequila like? Any good? Fancy bottle, but what does it taste like? The hitch cover looks like a poor design. I guess regular users will just leave it off, which is a pity, as it spoils the way the car looks.

I have to be honest, I’ve actually never opened the bottle! I’ve been treating it like a collector’s item. I definitely agree that the hitch cover is an afterthought, but I prefer the look of the car when it’s covered. I’ve also seen a couple of third party options that cover the hitch opening that allow for easy removal. Thanks so much for watching!

Diff. is you hitch broken down on the road or your car depleted on the road towing is a no no for EVs unless you just tow around 50 mile which makes no sense

The y is not anymore utility than a model 3

I don’t disagree with you as I also owned the Model 3. However, the increase in overall storage and the large opening trunk/lift gate gives the Model Y a bit more utility. This is also the reason that I decided to get a tow hitch for it as opposed to the Model 3 that I previously owned. Thanks for watching!

The Y is WAY more utilitarian than the 3 ! Just look at them parked next to each other and you can see that the Y has more internal volume - you’re gonna get more in it than the 3. It’s going to be far more practical to camp in as well. Not mention it’s built better than the 3, just watch any Sandy Munro video. However I will add that the A350 is no where near as good as the 787 ! ;)

@@savagecub nope the y is taller for bobble head people only as far as cargo i have already tested that fake news i can fit as many cases of soda in my 3 as the y there is a lot more room above shoulder height where it is not safe to haul loads as it may fly to front seat in hard breaking or not safe because if you have small items that fit under seat can move to the drivers pedals and result in possible interference the 3 is more utilitarian because it can tow the same carry the same more efficiently for more miles you may say the hatch is auto well now the 3 comes standard with auto lift gate. so when you buy the y you made the poor decision to buy a ugly more expensive car with less stats. thanks for supporting and joining the tesla team but if you only knew you would have made a better choice not follow the ignorant hype

Is 2000 LESS than 3500 ?...........I think it might be. Try and camp in a model 3 it has nowhere near the headroom - result LESS utility. Watch ANY Sandy Munro video and see his opinion of which vehicle is manufactured better.
