I bought a Tesla Model 3 Long Range so that when FSD works, I can send it 1.5 hours to my mother. Then she can use it to go to the doctor or get food. Then it can come home to me. She will not be able to drive much longer. This is my best solution.

I do wonder why Tesla cannot make Opel Astra/VW Golf sized hatchback... they would sell like crazy in Europe. Maybe they will do later. Model 3 or Y are not much larger but anyway, need a smaller hatchback, in Europe such are everywhere. Sure that would eat at Model Y sales though, but it is what it is. Maybe the new models are like that to an extent.

Quick question- Long time stock holder and was very excited about the Robotaxi So I this week, so I decided to buy the one month FSD for my model Y. My question is will Robotaxi use the same type of FSD- it makes a considerable amount of mistakes

This is not a finished product Mickey. FSD will improve to near perfection at some point in the future. One month subscription in 2025 could be a lot different. Test it out!

I think 700km if it is true range is plenty for any car, no more is needed. Even if in winter it is lower, this is the range where I could switch and maybe in few years I buy it used. I could say I may use a more compact car and more like Model Y form, so even more cheap but we have to take into account inflation, what is included in the package and well it is a good price. Also it is a Danish price so pretty sure it will be lower in Germany, France etc. where incomes are lower and more competition with local automakers (at least to some degree)

Lars, a suggestion, I thought you may be able to do an interesting analysis of the relative efficiency and watts per passenger kilometre of electric cars vs busses, trains and metro services. I suspect the car will use less energy and will be less polluting than the alternatives. This could be a big controversial story!

My educated guess is that if you travel alone, E-trains, E-busses, Trams and Metro's probably are more efficient than E-cars per passenger-Km. But as soon as you travel with 2 or more people in an E-car, you should be more efficient and less polluting. And much, much, much cheaper.

@@hardyvonwinterstein5445 annoyingly I heard some time ago that US mass transport systems in New York used 183 watts per passenger mile, but I can’t find supporting data. Hence the question. It’s nerdy I know, but I suspect cyber taxis may really cause an upset to the anti car lobby as they will prove to be considerably more efficient and low carbon than any alternative. Your point about driving alone is spot on. Obviously a car carrying a few people has to be very efficient and low on co2. Do keep up the great work, your enthusiasm and insights are much appreciated
