Everyone in business understands how important market share is in a competitive business environment.
When Tesla got started, there was no competition, and they created the market. As we all suspected, there would eventually be other players.
What places Tesla in the drivers seat is that, as the first one, they resolved their cash burn ramp-up earlier than the rest, posted profits, and can now control the market to a degree, and maintain market share by lowering prices.

We drove a Y in 2020. It was $66,000.00 and way beyond our budget. Forward to 2024 and we will be buying a Y later this month or first of March. The Y will roll out at about $38,000.00 before Left Coast tax and license. (7.25% sales tax and 10% + or - registration)

I bought a Model S (Refreshed) in 2021, waiting nine months for delivery. Loved it, but sold it in July, 2022 for a healthy profit, because the Model Y fits me better. Paid top price, and could get it now for 20% less, but don’t care. It’s the most fun car I’ve ever owned, and I wouldn’t give up the 18 months of pure joy, just to save a few bucks! I read the Master Plans, bought stock, and completely support Tesla’s pricing strategy.

Yeh, had to make this problem sting less, looking back my early TSLA stonks makes it somewhat less painful…still enjoy the EV ride😜
