@@jariusfoster2083 That would explain the failures, I owned a Kia before I switched to an EV (not a Tesla) and had issues as well.

Hope so I have one. Only problem so far is the drivers window regulator / window is a little crooked. I will fix it myself.

Maybe Giga Shanghai/Berlun produced Teslas are better build quality then the ones from US factories, but they are far from perfect. I have one a Model Y from China and it has lots of small quality glitches. Stained trim, door hinges scratches paint, car pulls to the right, etc. Another problem is the general finish. For instance the panel edges (like doors, trunk, hood, etc) for instance is just folded metal with no seal on top. This collects so much dirt. My Skoda Enyaq has a seal with paint on top of it in these areas.

I think that the most economical cars are the ones, that last the longest. What if manufacturers would release a new model once every 25 years. So that more R&D would go into making something actually better?

Here's the thing. I know of people at work, at least 7 who own Tesla that range from 3, Y, and S and love their cars. They have owned it ranging 3 years or more. One of my co-workers is now on his 2nd Tesla 3. Anyone I speak to who owns a Tesla claims no issues. They all love their cars. But when I come to youtube, a few videos claim issues. Why is that? I would consider a Tesla,. Because Elon Musk is MAGA and a Trump supporter, I choose not to. Additionally, I don't like what I hear about waiting for an appt. to repair and fix an issue. And the loaner problem too. I need a car to get me to work and not strand me like my previous BMW 325 i and X5 - never again will I buy Euro Trash Cars. I now drive a Toyota.

Teslas offer some nice amenities for their price range, but boy does Tesla love to cut corners. Anyone not swept up in the Tesla hype will notice it quickly. Is there any other $40k vehicle with a non-leather steering wheel? Tesla's vegan-leather steering wheels are notorious for peeling under 40k miles. The model 3 has air vents under the front seats with no screen or cover. There is a massive amount of aftermarket parts for Tesla, solely to fix issues and complete the car for Tesla.

Tesla seem to be backed up by the us government. Strangely they came out popular together with Vw diesel gate which it seems like was a us government job. The guys who started the whole drama. All taken to consideration I only don’t understand why so many still buy evs , teslas and similar unnecessary tech. Probably because they can, not because they need.
