The time you mention is with the 20.6kms layout (not used anymore), the tesla was clocked on the 20.8kms layout and then if you time the plaid on a 20.6kms layout it would have been a 7:19 min lap 😮

Yeah they also using the Vision system to preload the suspension for corners. For the weight of the car without rear wheel steering its incredible fast. I cant wait to see the Tesla Roadster on the Ring!

Yea that was bad marketing for Tesla. If they sell a fast version it should come with the required mods, ie stiff chassis, good brakes and suspension, good tyres - standard. I think the brakefluid was even unsuitable..

Because the enzo was a pinnacle and insanely expensive supercar for its DAY, plus the power to weight still favored the enzo run from 2008 vs the latest plaid. Simple google search shows the enzo with over a 10% better hp to weight ratio vs a new plaid model s. And that's without accounting for the new rules requiring a heavy bolt in cage&additional safety equipment like the plaid ran with. 👍🏻

This is a mandatory equipment requested by Nurburgring gmbh for lap record attempt and the safety of the driver + fire extinguishers and an emergency stop button You can add this stuff in your car…but it will make the car more heavy and finally slower than the standard car 😇

6:50 That's the issue, I assume that battery overheated here because it was slightly decreasing the speed after 290kmh. Real shame as it would've saved quite a bit of time. This whole thing seems like trying to balance the soc and heat, otherwise it could maby even do a flat 7:20 with more than 200mph at the end stretch. Or am I wrong? Still amazing this is in a car with more storage than a skoda superb, comfort closer to an audi a8 than some race car and a Play Station built in while also benefiting on track that you're in the safest car in the world...

Don't overestimate straight line speed. The difference between the Taycan and the 919 Evo rocketship was "just" 7 seconds over the whole Döttinger Höhe. A few mph more would've done nothing on that straight.

Yes, It was Him in MISHA video,, I Think Misha just said the truth about this car,, the PLAID did not do so well in the Track with standart car, that car are not meant to be track focused car,, so if you compared the break, suspension, and how it drive to something like GT3, it just way too far,, but with this Track Pack upgrade could solve the Braking and grip problem, but not with (too soft) suspension,, Yeah it could be perform better compared stock car (without Track Pack) but it's way off compared to Cars that spesifically design for Trqck..

My Plaid is fairly stable on power at vmax Plaid Mode but definitely not a Porsche as you slow down (loose)!! Feels like more chassis work needed on road settings?? (Autobahn)

Saw this in another clip and noticed approx. 33% of battery gone in 1 lap. Its always said by some technical people that you should not deplete more than down to 10% and no charge more than 90% for battery life. Effectively 2 laps and some to get to the charger for 30mins (needed to charge from 10% to 90%). 15min fun and 30min bored

Actually it's about 7:03 BTG. But it's still not doing anything extraordinary IMO, it needs some of grippiest tires in existence to beat similar heavy sedans by a couple of seconds. The 4-door AMG GT weighs about the same and is only 2.5s off on inferior tires with 400 less horsepower. It's not exactly moving the game on. Heck even the old Taycan can probably do this looking at its time on PS4S. It's performing adequately for its specifications but still far off the actual sports cars that it likes to beat in drag races.
