Some interesting moments in this video: 1:46 FSD is confused in a parking lot: cars on the left, cars on the right, FSD is hesitating. Human takes over 2:07 FSD is hesitating on an easy right turn. Human intervenes. 7:50 Very slow right turn at a stop sign

@@jimfergusondev But how fast would a human make the turn?

@@DerekDavis213 FSD is improving in mimicking human behavior rather than robotic responses. Honestly, a human could drift around a corner at some crazy speed 😉. But seriously, FSD consistently prioritizes safety over speed. This cautious approach can sometimes aggravate surrounding drivers, leading to road rage as they might feel you're intentionally being inconsiderate. In such cases, moving swiftly is more about respecting other drivers than executing dangerous maneuvers.

@@jimfergusondev I agree with what you are saying. But let's be honest, FSD as of today April 1st 2024 still has a long ways to go: -problems with Left turns -zero situational awareness, in unfamiliar situations -AutoPark cannot pull straight into a parking spot, and it cannot handle diagonal parking spots In busy big cities such as San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, FSD still needs many human interventions. FSD has improved a lot, but it is still far away from full autonomy.

@@DerekDavis213I agree with you on the edge cases, but they're decreasing with every new release. Now, when 95% of your driving is well-managed (as shown in my videos), the occasional need to take over isn't too disruptive. For instance, on a 2-hour drive, if I only need to intervene for 3 minutes, that's pretty impressive.
