Its because they were lumped in with glam and still are mixed in with the hair metal bands. Its also because Jeff Keith was not the prettiest of lead vocalist of the era. I always considered Metallica,GnR, tesla and queensryche as the best of the 80's. The rest were shit for the most part.

Keith was a good vocalist. If they had a stronger frontman they would have gotten much more recognition. I know, I will get blasted for that and the songs are forever imprinted with his sound. I am just saying. His voice was on the weak side and he did not have a strong presence. Every great band, the frontman has to either have a great voice or a great stage presence or both. Jeff had neither. That they made it as big as they did was testament to the band and Keith for doing a whole lot with a little.

This is the first Tesla song I heard, and I was mesmerized. First concert I ever saw. Saw them twice. Once in 1989 when they supported Great White, and again in 1992 when they headlined. Might have been '93. Got to meet Frank Hannon in 2012. Great band. Criminally underrated.

I've seen these guys live I don't know how many times. I remember seeing them twice when they were called city kidd. I watched them play at the ioof hall in Georgetown ca. Even way back then in that little don't blink or I you'll miss it sleepy town, those guys rocked just as hard as anybody else who has ever graced a stage. And their musicianship was so professional and well seasoned. To this day they are one of my favorite bands and rightfully so. Rock on guys.

In this is by far my favorite Tesla song. The great musicians. Jeff Keith has an unbelievable voice. It's just sucks Tommy had to be let go because of his extreme drug use. But that's part of the Trap Falls of the 80s.
