Really an outstanding job of multiple cameras, video editing, and explaining. No doubt it took a lot of time. Bravo!

I felt the same as you did about the only wood being on the dash. I purchased a Real Carbon Fiber replacement dash. It installed easily as in your video. It matches my real carbon fiber on the front and rear console of my Model Y.

Yes, that’s nice. I eventually went with a real carbon fiber dash cap in a latter video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnytepp_ib-AeLs

Looks nice. Thanks for the shout out. I prefer the stain :)

Thanks. I couldn't trust myself sanding and staining it. Plus I can change it again if I get bored.

Great work, Mr Ranger!

For those ends you could make the piece a few inches long and use a lot of heat (from the blow dryer) and pull the film stretching it around and there would be no wrinkles at all. No folds. Yours looks really good but heat/stretching would've made it wrinkle free. This is the best one I've seen though and thank you for making the video.

Thats what I thought too, but its trickier than you think even with a lot of wrapping experience. The back edges of the wood where it meets the plastic has nearly no room to pull the vinyl down for a clean stretch and it either tears the corner or bunches up.

I'll be interested in your opinion of the all white dashboard insert, included with the white seats option, Model 3 Dual Motor, regular and performance models.
@MTNRanger6 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen the optional white interior. But I have heard the dash insert is hard white plastic instead of wood veneer.

Tesla Tips by MTN Ranger That’s what I’ve heard, too.

TBH it looks cheap - I have it and it's my least favorite piece of the interior.

Seems really difficult to do this, do you have any better suggestion?

See my other videos on using caps. They are easier to install and look nicer. kzbin.info/aero/PL3KGLh_BqvV5c_tzWo9nzyXB-zjRuceId

Wrapping real wood grain in fake wood vinyl? WTF?
@MTNRanger6 жыл бұрын
I know, crazy, right? But the same technique can be used on any vinyl - carbon fiber/brushed metallic/etc.

Madre mía que lamentable la instalación que ha hecho del vinilo.
