Tessa Johnson snapped her left femur in half in high school. The dang thigh bone - and not just a fracture, but a clean break. The strongest bone in the body - and arguably one of the most important for mobility, balance, and stability when you consider how many (and the importance of) muscles, ligaments and tendons it supports. Think about that when you watch her glide up and down the court - drive to the basket - step back and hit the midranges, etc. She is fearless. The fact that she plays at such a high level with that kind of traumatic leg injury is so impressive. She is one to watch for many years! She has quickly become one of my favorites on the team.
