the thing dodie said about examining the evidence is something i’ve been doing for a while and it is SO HELPFUL. I get those kind of thoughts basically at some point in every single friendship I’ve had which really sucks but while this is something that doesnt make the thoughts go away completely it allows me to slow them down and nullify them a bit. 11/10 would recommend doing this

I know no amount of convincing evidence will affect your inner belief, but I believe that the overwhelming majority of people who watch your channel like you. You might argue that we're seeing the very best of what you have to offer, and that it's liking the 'video you' and not who you are in private. Hearing that someone believes everyone is fundamentally likable won't do much good either, the thought 'It doesn't apply to me' comes to my mind. Although I don't struggle with wanting to be liked, I have had similar issues where no amount of outside evidence can affect something my experience has proven over and over. Keep at it, and those issues may eventually fade. Keep moving forward, Tessa!

I always remind myself that I'm valuable in such fundamental ways if not liked for a specific reason. Liked can be simple or much deeper. Guess it depends on what is liked. Accepting thoughts and letting then go sounds so much healthier than ignoring them. Facing them head-on. For the past two years, I've done a daily gratitude/free thought journal page for about ten minutes a day. It's wonderful to look back too! I look forward to seeing gratitude things!

I'm an NHS therapist and Dodie's technique of "halting" thoughts and weighing up evidence is exactly right. It's called thought challenging aka "Taking the Thought to Court". Only solid evidence -- facts, not opinions -- can stand up in a court of law and this is the same principle. You can then take it a step forward and come up with a balanced and realistic thought that takes account of both sides of evidence e.g. "I did upset this person that one time BUT we solved it and they still like to hang out with me. They told me they forgive it so I can let it go."

samsara sheerness isnt really a factor, as she could have easily just dabbed it on. it's definitely chili by mac. i've done this with chili many times and gotten this nearly exactly. natural lip color causes slight variations. plus, filters.
