To me the vocal parts are very random and hard to follow. The “big slow riff” thing is in almost every song now and gets pretty boring. I like mirror image/beneath a lot more, even the king/luminary are better executed in terms of songwriting while doing essentially the same big nocturne style riff thing

The fact that they only need one chorus in the entirety of the song without even repeating it a gazillion times (silent bridge then the one and only chorus towards the end of the song), and turn it into a complete song that anyone can appreciate, now thats what I call art.

Yeah, more often than not repeating choruses is actually redundant because 1) it doesn't make sense to exactly repeat something in a moving story, 2) a second repeat can rob the power of the first chorus, as much as it can save a mediocre one (repetitition legititimates XDDDD).

Tesseract are hands down my favourite band for creating suspense and satisfying resolution in their melodies/riffs. They always take a riff in a direction i wasnt expecting, only to bring it back in the perfect way. If i could only ever hear 1 thing for the rest of my life, it would be whatever this band writes.
