In a world designed for you and me Holding on to echelons Messianic deformations Control nations We're all holding on I can be guilty free Don't you see? In a world designed for you and me Holding on to echelons Messianic deformations Controlled patience I bind you Now you believe in nothing I bind you Now you believe in nothing In my dreams I was innocent My skin unbroken, eyes open On a distant sphere Before these walls surrounded me Made me disappear Thrown into the grey In the ruins I remain Lead me home From the only world I've ever known And branded heathen I have lost the battle on both sides Lead me home into the sun I've been dreaming Anxious to the core I don't want to feel this way Same as yesterday Please lead me home Great song!

10 years is still a short time for a singer to lose his range, give it a 10-15 more and they'll start downtuning their stuff. But once they decide to resort to that, I know Dan will still sound awesome because he's never only about range. It's all about expression and control.

Dan's vocals and overall production have been insane on the latest releases, however, in terms of pure songwriting nothing has "topped" Altered State/Polaris for my money thus far. 3:26 - What the f*** is happening? ❤So many emotions flow through me, especially the last part of the song brings up a lot. My best friend and I both got a Tesseract tattoo with the last release "Sonder" in 2018. We shared our entire youth, more than 13 years, so we decided to do this. But so much has happened in the meantime. Covid, moving to another city, starting a family... today we have different attitudes to life. The contact became less and as of today we have had virtually no contact for more than one year. We lived apart. Sometimes it hurts. And it especially hurts when Tesseract makes such a strong song that reminds me of the times before the changes. I still love him and wish him all the best for his future life ❤

Daniel is a beast but I can't get tired of the heavens work being done by Amos, specially in the 0:53 when he changes the note being played. It gives me massive goosebumps everytime I hear it.

I need to give this album a few more listens as some have pointed out there are motifs I've not yet caught. What I have noticed and what caught my ear quite quickly, was some of the vocal techniques I'm hearing on this album regarding some of the higher notes in head voice? I haven't heard an approach like that, or a sound like that, since back in 1997 with Live's "Secret Samadhi" album. I mean that in the best way possible. Amazing work, TesseracT. And that closing track! WOW.

For this album, Dan was like "hey, I'm already a literal God, but what if I had MORE vocal range?" So cool to hear him delivering the lyrics with so much character and expressiveness. Not that he was ever lacking in that department.

Frontman Daniel Tompkins says: “Conceptually, ‘Legion‘ sets the scene by introducing ‘Fear‘ and its various cunning forms. Fear binds and restricts us from unlocking truth and obscures the paths that lay ahead in a deliberate attempt to skew our vision. From the perspective of our two main characters (Ex and El), ‘Legion‘ sees ‘Fear‘ tearing the fabric of their lives apart, as they experience their world crumble whilst dealing with the chaos and confusion surrounding them. The music video focusses on Ex‘s experience of the same chaos, taking hold of The Dream as it crashes on ‘The Strangeland’ - the introduction to the story of the War Of Being.”

Man! I simply can NOT stop coming back to this song AND video. The music is pure art...the lyrics, the emotion behind them when you sing them...beautiful and heavy...and you feel it so. The video, simple....yet dazzlingly so. Can't keep your eyes off the screen. It's like, you're in a trance that you never want to be taken out of and are pissed when the ship of a ride comes to a landing and you have to get off the ride....but you stand right back in line to enjoy the ride again ❤

3:26 this whole end section is some of the best music Ive ever heard in my life. and that high at 3:48 is so pretty!! the vocal layering at 4:05 to the end is soooo good. Tesseract keeps outdoing themselves. and Dan's vocals are both angelic and brutal at the same time. tbh i think this is Dan's best work, yes even better than War of Being IMO. glad i pre-ordered this record.

Consistently my favourite band with every release growing the sound and ambition! Huge song, bigger sound! The mix is flawless, Dan's performance is absolutely ridiculous and as technical as the song's structure! Mark my words, this is their best album to date. It encompasses everything we know and love and still delivers something familiar yet new and continues the evolution of the unmistakable sound that TesseracT have created and perfected. Absolutely brilliant! Can't fault any of you. Hands down my favourite band for over a decade. Stay safe and well. Can't wait for the full release!
