I would agree. However, Haken released Fauna, which is just as brilliant but I prefer Haken's style more. Also, Moon safari's Himlabacken Vol. 2 released yesterday. Prog Rock epicness!

That track means so much to me... My interpretation is connected to my deceased mother. Me and my sister have been having a hard time taking it in. It literally hurts every time we listen to it... Even though I think it wasn't the original intention from the artists. But I'm glad someone singled the song out. All the best my friend.

"Burden" hooked me on first listen and has grown on me immensely, it's now my favourite track of them all, but... The whole album is amazing. Natural Disaster.. Legion.. Tender.. War of Being.. all irresistible. The concept is also interesting and worth diving into. No matter how many other bands and discographies I listen to (and having been a reviewer, that is alot..) Tesseract is still my absolute favourite band. No other band can keep my attention for as many years as they have done with each release. 🤘🤘

Love this album so much, ive always been a tesseract fan for the instrumentals first but man has Dan outdone himself on this record, and hes my favorite thing about this album which is very different for me but its all so well done, i really feel like the guys wrote this album with dans vocals on the forefront for the direction of this one and im so happy with it, so many memorable vocal moments and the instrumentals just compliment him so well. Also LOVE the lead work Acle is doing throughout its all so beautiful and Jays drumming is just muah chefs kiss. Its hard to pick a favorite but to me its a big 4 way tie tie between Natural Disaster, Tender, War of Being, and Sacrifice. But to me every song is amazing this album really is a masterpiece in my eyes and shows how much the band has matured over the years

This album is very much a mix of everything, war of being has a one feel to it, there are bits of Polaris in most of the Melodies, but some big grooves that sound similar to sonder to me Very good album

Legion has to be my song of the year! False Meridian by Invent Animate is up there as well. This album is a masterpiece what a journey it takes you on. I'm seeing them with some friends in Montreal this month can't wait! \m/

@@Robfnord I kid u not Invent Animate has to be the the greatest metalcore band out there, right up there with Currents. TesseracT is more Prog but man they still up there with this one. Death We Seek and Heavener now have competition for album of the year.

Patiently impatiently waiting for this video drop 😂 Great video and thoughts. I love how they let you marinate in grooves, almost too long but they change it up just in time i feel. Sacrifice is sonic perfection imo, Legion is creeping to tie with Sacrifice for me. Cannot wait to see them, im flying to another province to see their show, last i saw them was 2018, chasing the feeling of having the Smile riff tones fill the room as i was fully immersed in that light show. Was truely something special.

Have had a very hard time NOT listening to this album. But, I must highly encourage you to hear Earthside "Let the Truth Speak". Daniel from Tesseract guest vocals on that track. It is one of the most epic and beautiful rock/metal songs I have ever experienced.

I absolutely loved this album. I thought nothing would come close to Sleep Token this year, but this album is just wonderful. I get chills every time I hear Legion and Sacrifice, mostly because of Dan, who sound as good as he’s ever sounded in any of his works.

Thanks for the album review Rachelle! I like what you have to say. I'm not a fan of hardcore metal screaming / growling vocals... can't listen to it. In the context of Tesseract's music, Dan's pitched screams make sense to me. He uses the technique to evoke such a visceral emotional response when contrasted with his beautiful vocals and insane range. I love all the tunes for different reasons but this is the first Tesseract album that has repeatedly brought me to tears. Not an easy feat for a so-called "Prog Metal" band. Kudos to Tesseract! Kudos to you for another insightful review!
