The actor Cesar Romero and film director George Cukor (he gifted it to himself after his "My Fair Lady" Oscar nod) both had SC3s very similar to this car, in color/colour. Loretta Young had a stunning '64, in sand over sable livery. She routinely drove it from West L.A. to Palm Springs, til her passing. Air conditioning, the English call it "refrigeration" was often dealer installed. U.S. delivered cars continued to have the larger (I think more attractive) bumper over riders and grayish white front turn-signals, with all red in the rear. Most SC3's had power windows, which may still have been optional? Odd with a circa 1963 $17, 500 price tag. Equivalent to about$190,000 today. These LHD beauties have often out-performed much of the stock market as an investment.

I have always wondered why these Cloud, and early Shadow cars had very plebian, and rather easy to break-into lift-up clips on the front vent windows? Most James Young-bodied vehicles had small hand cranks.
