Love it when Jay hosts the Ring Brothers. Just a couple of Wisconsin knuckleheads and a Massachusetts car nut hanging out. Nobody trying to out-cool anyone, nobody trying to impress anyone with suspect facts. Just a bunch of guys having a good time. And the fact that these guys produce such high quality one-offs just makes it perfect.

I like the fact that the Ring Brothers' cars are about pushing the imagination and having fun with a project-- they're not involved in playing the tedious and simple-minded, dumb status game that I've never been able to understand, leaves me cold. Jay too, with his fascinating car collection chosen out of a genuine interest and enthusiasm, and including some wonderful oddball mechanical creations that are more of an adventure than a form of transport. :0)

I had a 61 silver cloud for about 12 years. I had it restored, everything was original and it was my daily driver, people thought I was crazy, but I’ll tell you what, it stopped traffic. What those guys did was amazing. I wish I had the money to send mine to them. Thanks, Jay, I’m a big fan.

For the younger folks; that "mustard" reference had to do with the Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard commercials from back in the day that featured rich people in luxury cars asking each other if they have that brand mustard. The idea was that the mustard was so super premium quality that the rich only want that.

This classic Rolls Royce is drop dead gorgeous! The updates including the larger wheels, "starry night" headliner, repurposed leather seats, all of the hidden mechanical & engineered bits & that phenomenal engine; priceless! BUT that cheap looking wrapped dashboard & matching door panels almost ruin the interior. Exchange those for some atjtractive real wood veneer alternates, then this car would be a Masterpiece. 💙

@@willtaggart This is expected. A slotted screw driver is a flat bladed screw driver (I suppose same can say either) and imperial sized sockets like 1/2 inch or 9/16 should not be so "British". I mean America still uses miles and standard sized wrenches does it not? British Standard Whitworth (BSW) American Unified Coarse (UNC) was originally based on almost the same Imperial fractions. I suppose few have ever worked on old British cars so maybe they have funny thread pitch etc. The British Standard Cycle (BSC) and Cycle Engineers' Institute (CEI) standard are different again with finer threads so I guess I stuck my foot in my mouth on that. Oh well, live and learn. Grey poupon there is a mechanics way of saying it? Only in LA I suppose.

Probably would have used individual seats, not a fan of bench seats. Even my 1978 Rolls-Silver Wraith II had an electric divider, original by R-R, separate front and rear a/c but still kept individual seats and room wasn’t bad either.

Thank you Jay for your efforts in perserving history. Just love your program. As for me, I'll take the wood dash everytime. Got my love off a 52' Jag 120.

I love this kind of thing - looks perfectly stock (and very nicely done too), conceals some special talent underneath 🙂 The perfect car for a gentleman in a hurry!

The fake wood dash was a big mistake; the only other one was maybe too much S/C whine for an RR. Fabulous build though.

It's such a perfect car all round that it really does warrant a real wood interior. A Royce with fake wood is just not right.

Lovely car but the wrapped dash looks like crap, should have used REAL wood.

I have to agree with you. If they left the original in or put in some darker wood, it would have looked a lot classier.

I agree. Rolls has the original wood. The "decal" cheapens the expensive build.

The ICON Derelict RR is pretty awesome. Jay drove that one with Jonathan Ward.

Not to be that guy, but I much preferred the icon. The dash on this one sours me for some reason.

I love me a modded Roller. Currently mid way through a complete custom project on my Silver Shadow, mating it to a Mitsubishi Warrior platform to build a Dakar-style turbodiesel 4x4 😂 Purists will hate it, but I’ll be laughing with 2/4WD, hi-lo box, complete rolls interior and 800 mile fuel range 👌
