Love it when Jay hosts the Ring Brothers. Just a couple of Wisconsin knuckleheads and a Massachusetts car nut hanging out. Nobody trying to out-cool anyone, nobody trying to impress anyone with suspect facts. Just a bunch of guys having a good time. I like the fact that the Ring Brothers' cars are about pushing the imagination and having fun with a project-- they're not involved in playing the tedious and simple-minded, dumb status game that I've never been able to understand, leaves me cold. Jay too, with his fascinating car collection chosen out of a genuine interest and enthusiasm, and including some wonderful oddball mechanical creations that are more of an adventure than a form of transport. :0)

@@willtaggart This is expected. A slotted screw driver is a flat bladed screw driver (I suppose same can say either) and imperial sized sockets like 1/2 inch or 9/16 should not be so "British". I mean America still uses miles and standard sized wrenches does it not? British Standard Whitworth (BSW) American Unified Coarse (UNC) was originally based on almost the same Imperial fractions. I suppose few have ever worked on old British cars so maybe they have funny thread pitch etc. The British Standard Cycle (BSC) and Cycle Engineers' Institute (CEI) standard are different again with finer threads so I guess I stuck my foot in my mouth on that. Oh well, live and learn. Grey poupon there is a mechanics way of saying it? Only in LA I suppose.
