Beautiful. Had a 1975 Monte Carlo. Triple black with swivel bucket seats. 350 under the hood. Beautiful.

It doesn't have posi rear end. Base model and basic motor. Kinda clean car. $20,000 for this car. Wow 😳 maybe, or maybe not. It will make someone happy and thats what counts champ!
@oboyonasis59322 жыл бұрын
Yep it's basic motor like a 350. There small blocks champ which is base model. Option list, is a 400 more than a 427ci, 454, or 455 #'s matching motor champ. How about your interior options, transmission ya know things like that. If you are interested in purchasing the Monte Carlo just buy it, or just debate about a bunch of nothing my boy. Step it up champ 😂🤣 and don't be so concerned about what other peoples opinions are. Stay focused on your dreams champ. Big Navy wartime veteran doesn't worry about the things that are beneath him or anything out of his control. It's all a big waste of time & energy. Enjoy your dreams and live long and hard.... Hagd

Thats nice one my cousin had a yellow 71 Monte Carlo with automatic in floor we were going down a old black top back road one day he was going about 50 mph there were 5 or 6 guineas in the middle of road eating something he said I'll bet i cant hit not even one of them he said i try all time to see if i can bump one of yalls when they are in the road but those things are really fast so he nails his gas peddle and that old Monte Carlo was quick it had a tan vinyl top also but it had headers , loud glass packs and B&M shift kit in trans and pretty big cam in the 350 or 400 i dont remember exacty which motor but one of those two but that jumped up to 90 pretty quick and feathers flew everywhere he hit every dam one of those guineas and i got down low in the seat because the older man standing in his front yard wasnt very happy by the shovel he was shaking at us ole Tim said i cant believe i hit those ive never come close to hitting yalls i said Tim those wasnt ours ha,ha R.I.P. Tim he passed away this year from cancer .

Just gotta luv 1st gen Montes. I bought a dark blue 71 SS454 when I was stationed in Montana back in '76. What a runner. State trooper pulled me over doing 105 in a 55. Ticket was for breaking the newly enacted 55 mph energy conservation law. LOL. Speed limit had ben "Reasonable and Prudent" up until then. $5.00 fine paid on the spot and I was on my way. Gotta luv Montana too.

@@chriskelly509 - I think you got the best option with the '72 M.C.. I had the bad luck of having to pull the engine on my M.C., about a week after I bought it. Timing gear. Luckily, I had a buddy who was an auto mechanic, who had me pull the engine, and he rebuilt the engine on my redwood deck in the redwood forests of Lompico. I was impressed with the Center of Gravity of the engine being located somewhat rearward of the front axle. I sold my M.C. because I was concerned about fuel efficiency, but 25 years after I sold it, I would gladly buy another one.

I would absolutely love to have been able to buy this 1971 Monte Carlo for $15,000. After getting the small body and a decent paint job done and the interior redone, I’d have a nice Monte Carlo for about $30,000. I am thinking a $10,000 paint job and about $5,000 in having a new interior put in. I am not doing it myself, so a do it yourself person, could do a lot more. I think nice ones are averaging around $40.000 now. This rest I could do over time

I don’t think you over paid for a nice one. If you liked everything about it, except minor stuff ! I’d kind of expect to pay closer to $40.00 for one in perfect condition. But if it had some goofed looking rims on it, or some odd color, that would be 2 expensive things I’d have to put me money out to make it the way I would want. Any rate congrats!!
