There are so many things coming on my mind that I could be able to do by the Augmented Reality, really this is the future of gadgets and the company who will pioneer in these gadget would be on the top and the race has started.

Even when this gets affordable and gets good game development behind it, will it take off? A lot of the applications seem a little gimmicky. I think it go the same as the Kinect, everyone is like wow and then no one really used.

Hi, my wife has dry macular degeneration, her centre vision has gone, if she stands close to our 40 inch tv she can see clearly . Would this enable her to see, she watches tv she does not play games I do :)..we are in our 80s. If this could work and run from tv it would be great . Any medical people or manufacturers could give more info. Thanks for a great show gentleman

Let's just face it, MR is at least 5 years away. The tech just ain't up to doing the job at the moment and for all their hype Magic Leap are just a single iteration beyond Hololens. And there's absolutely no software beyond banal stuff which you'll tire of after 5 minutes

This is a immature technology. All these tech demos are just ways of putting into practice the basics, the core technology has to work before you can do interesting things with it. A 3D dinosaur walking around your room may look childish, but fixing a 3D object in space that is able to recognise its physical environment is hardly easy. Lessons learned from making these fundamentals work is going to be applied later, in the sort of applications you may want to see. A consumer ready product is still years away, they have plenty of time to experiment.

Seriously, 4.5 Billion of funding and eight years of development, to get a ultra expensive development kit, with a bunch of simple demos? Cut the price to PlayStation Vr levels, and throw in the same media and gaming support, then I will buy one, and so will millions of others. Sony and even Occulus must be laughing their heads off at this. PSVR gives you A 225 inch screen mode.
