To classify, its technically a gas motor assisted bycicle. Not a motorcycle. I personally prefer the bike lane because you can ride faster and it tends to be smoother but at the same time ill use the sidewalk when there's a lot of traffic or im going slow

The footpath is set aside by law as a safe place for pedestrians to walk. By riding a motorised vehicle on the path you will end up getting these bikes banned in your country. These things get around the law somehow but drawing unwanted attention to them by using them dangerously is not a good idea.

Your English is fine. Good motorize bicycle build. Good choice of choosing a 4 stroke engine over a 2 stroke engine. I had build a 2 stroke engine bicycle build four times but the 4 stroke is the best of reliability (Engine will always start), fuel efficiency is far better than the 2 stroke engine, quieter than the 2 stroke engine, little maintenance, gasoline burn cleaner than 2 stroke engine, very little to no vibrations, 4 stroke engine last longer than a 2 stroke engine. 2 stroke engine is noisy, it vibrate the bicycle and loosen the bolts & screws, it leaks oil, 2 stroke engine is a dirty engine cause you have to mix the oil with the gasoline together, doesn't completely burn all the fuel and sometimes it won't start. The only pros about 2 stroke engine is the engine and parts are inexpensive, it can be modified many ways and it slightly has a little bit more power than the 4 stroke engine (may get about 2 to 3 mile per hour faster than the 4 stroke engine even if both are using the same amount number of teeth on the sprocket.). Anyway, good video (Should've use a camera with image stabilization or a better image stabilization next time) and best on your next build project. 👍🚲

@@creativemechanic1565 erm the fuck, doing 30mph down hill by pedal power can keep you at 30mph for as long as the hill, and also it all depends on the individual. Honestly the more the speed the thicker your tyres need to be and the better your breaks need to be. Hence this gentlemen said he prefers this sprocket as he does not feel safe with the stock breaks.

In most countries a motorized vehicle with displacement under 50cc is a moped, above 50cc is category A1 motorcycle. All motorized vehicles and electric vehicles with power output over 0,2Kw must be registered and insured and require atleast a AM category drivers licence. No licence plates, registration, helmet or drivers licence: huge fine or vehicle impounded. I dont know about US, but in EU this is how it works.

Terrence Harvey search California Motorbikes and be sure it has 8mm motormount studs for around $150.00 , and I have a $100.00 Walmart bike . The rag joint the kit comes with is junk so be sure to buy a hub adapter for the rear sprocket which I found for $36.00 on eBay and it is worth every penny . Also the 36 tooth rear sprocket on my wildcat engine gets me 40 mph . Be sure to replace the axle grease on front and rear hub of any bicycle to high temp grease .

@@charliepatterson9321 That is the most dangerous advice I think I have ever heard. Walmart bikes can fall apart just from normal bike riding. They are the cheapest aluminum china can make. At the very least get a low end Raleigh for $300. Still reasonably cheap but you can trust they are made of stainless steel and will not break from engine vibration. Clone engines such as the Huashang engines are a lot more reliable than the very cheap chinese HT engines.

ok. i red many comments about me riding on a sidewalk. so ill post my explanation here, 3rd time i copy and pasted it. BTW, I didnt know i did anything illegal until you guys commented.. I've red some statements that says 'what if there's a elderly on a sidewalk".. look, i have a good 20/20 vision, i can see maybe over 0.5 mile away (so far that the person will appear as tiny as my finger) i got plenty of time to move out of the way before my 20 mph bike gets near ANY PERSON, stroller, or subjects. Unless this old lady is dropped from the sky by a helicopter and catches me by surprise, there is NO REASON why i cant move around her.. I don't drink, or do drugs, i have FAST reflex. Im also aware MANY folks who wears glasses and uses drugs may not be capable of doing what i do, but they dont represent me if they fail. there has NEVER been a incident that i know of where a pedestrian got killed by a cyclist on sidewalk, NOT ONCE, EVER.. On the contrary there are MILLIONS of cyclist who are killed by a car on the road, my uncle being one of them. so if your really concerned of SAFETY you should be on my side. i didnt feel safe sharing the road with cars going 45 mph, so i went on a EMPTY sidewalk going 16 mph (again if there is any person ahead, i got plenty of time to move out of the way or stop BECAUSE I HAVE GOOD 20/20 VISION AND QUICK REFLEX). You idiots BLINDLY following 'government laws' are incriminating yourself, dont u fools realize YOU TOO ARE GUILTY OF SAFETY VIOLATIONS IN A REGULAR BASIS? How many times do u speed up when the light is yellow? i bet everyday, thats illegal, your supposed to slow down and stop according to DMV laws. thats one of MANY laws YOU break daily, from not waiting 3 full second on a full stop to illegal turns, why point the speck on my eye when u got a log on yours? THE END.

+BOREDANDWELLBORED I walk 2 miles to work and then 2 miles back. At least once each way I'm nearly hit by a distracted driver, sidewalks or not. I drove for a living most of my adult life and now that I'm a pedestrian/bicycle rider I take whatever precautions I can to protect myself. There are lots of sidewalks near me that are not used by pedestrians hardly at all and if it's safer for me I use them. I will say that since I have to register my motorized bike in my state to use it on the roads I definitely am braver about using the roadway when my engine is running.

@@eddycarmona3979 For this engine, getting 150 MPG is pretty easy if you are gentle on the engine. Although 100 MPG is much more common. One of the nice things about motorized bicycles is they get amazing gas mileage. You can buy one-gallon gas tanks (I have one) but they are a little bulky for a bike and harder to find than the half-gallon tanks. If you plan on going very long distances, it would be wise to pick up a one-gallon gas tank. :-)

front disk brake is all u need. don't need rare break. don't get the cheap one, get a quality one because the cheap one grinds with the disk

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIOolKhtZq2oo7s. That's the update I used a cheap $20 front disk brake only and it stops as fast as a car. tested,it repeatedly. the problem with cheap disk brake is the disk grinds with the caliper. I suppose it will go away after many miles but you'll b worn out from pedaling

BOREDANDWELLBORED thanks you for your response,I seen the video by your link, you make 2 brakes on the front wheel, but your rare wheel seems has a pliers type brake,is it still work?If it not,is the V brake put on to the rare wheel will be better?

+James Law the rear brake is useless. it's just there for style. it only works for pedaling, I don't use it when turning on the motor because it's not effective. only the front disk brake works. I can go 23mph and stop in 3 feet.

I disagree with almost all of this. The point of these things is to be fun, cheap, and easy to fix. If I here to put everything you talked about on that bike it would be $1000 if not more. It would be a 4 stroke, more moving parts, harder to fix. I Can Change the cylinder and head and all the gaskets on my engine in about 5 or 10 mins for about 30 bucks. Give or take. If I'm Going To be be expensive like a motorcycle, complicated to repair like a motorcycle, and not nearly as fast as a mptorcycle, why not just buy a used sports bike for 1k? You can find them on Craigs list all day. I got my setup running for $250. And has lasted my over a year so far with every day or every other day use.

@@BOREDANDWELLBORED Not really the point of a motorized bicycle. If you just want to use the engine and are confident you will never be left stranded by it, then sure a sports bike would work fine. The benefit of a motorized bicycle is that if the engine goes out, you can disconnect the chain and you still have a bicycle. Not to mention sports bikes are not street legal here but motorized bicycles are. :-P With that said, I think I ended up spending a total of ~$700 on my motorized bicycle setup. $300 for the bike, $300 for the engine and mounting parts, and $100 for accessories.

I don't understand why we can't create a simple gear changing system similar to the one we already use on bikes, but maybe 2 or 3 speeds. It seems like it would be fairly simple for someone with an engineering background (not me unfortunately).

Ive thought about this too!! Use the clutch to disengage the engine and shift gears using a similar way that mountain bikes do then ease off the clutch. Theres got to be a way to make it work right?

I don't think cops will mind as long as you don't go any faster than 15 mph or 10. Even if i cop does say anything he will say not to go fast at all or he will give you a warning
