*Test Run* Schubeler 90mm EDF - King of EDF?

Thank you guys for checking out the video!! I am completely blown away by the power of this motor! I am not used to having control of this much thrust to work with! I cannot wait to get the Black Horse L-39 all finished up and ready to rock and roll!! The Max load on this was around 86amps that I seen while going to full throttle. Nice setup and testing Sir. I fly jeti as well and can appreciate the data your system provides. In a similar setup, I’m using a mezon 160 lite esc and muli 6 sensor, limited to 8S. Another jet on 12S uses hobbywing 105a esc, 150a mui sensor in combination with a muli6 to provide lipo data from both packs. I look forward to seeing inflight video!!

Great stuff guys! Awesome set up. A few things to watch, motors on the bench get hot fast without a thrust tube. Watch that! Second, static thrust numbers from Shubler are pretty accurate but they will change under load in the plane depending on FSA of the thrust tube and intake. As long as your model weight stays under 14lbs with batteries that fan with a little math done right on those things I mentioned should fly the snot of it. Super excited for you!

Very nice low amp high power setup! Just keep in mind every lipo checker is going to show a slightly different percentage. What you're really looking for is battery voltage.

Nice tests! Did you run any tests to monitorize the temperature of the electric motor, for example, to know how much time is it capable of performing at maximum power without reaching the limit temperature? I think this could be quite interesting to know, and also for the maximum time allowed for lower power levels

Got a weird question. Can a edf be run without the use of a receiver? It won't be installed in an rc aircraft so I don't need to control the speed of the edf.

Yes because it needs a speed controller to even power on, and that is done through the receiver.

I was going to get that Schubeler but figured out I could order a Hacker 100mm but the diameter fit a 90mm Jetfan. These are the specs on the motor.

Can you please make pressure test? Like put this motor in 1m long pvc pipe, add pressure sensor in pipe and at full throttle start closing the pipes open end with hand to see how much pressure it can make? Need this info for a project

exciting! But I'm sorry to say it! How much is the static trust. After all, it is the one to be used for the specific aircraft, that weighs? You need to measure the trust, lbs trust with a weight. And then put the trust up against the plane weight. And then assess whether the plane can come from the grund. Enjoy. I'm excited to see which planes that engine set is going to be in.

You have a 160amp esc and you didn’t even pass 90amps.
