Another nice Video Mat! I just bought a folding prop - a 2 blade Gori. There will be an install video at some point. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!

Hi, that will be interesting, I did look at a Gori myself. Is it replacing a 2blade? Have a good Christmas 🎄 and a great new year! ⛵️👍

If you cannot reach your previous max rpm then doesn’t that mean the new prop is over pitched, and potentially increasing engine wear?

Hi, it’s a good question and I don’t really have any evidence either way. The manual for the engine gives a max rpm range from 3200 - 3600. The last prop we hit the 3600 with ease, this is now holding at 3200 so it’s still in the band. I’m not sure if this increases wear or not, but the engine is now running slower for the same speed. I have a lot of engine data, so my plan is to monitor this against the last 18months and see how we go. I’m also on the lookout for 17x12 blades and if I can get a reasonable deal I might switch and test these also. I would think that more engine stress and therefore more wear would show up as heat and that’s the first set of data I checked against.

Hi, great video! Was wondering if you have a chart with your current speeds? Let’s say cruising and max rpm. Thanks

Hi, I don't really, but what I can say is with a clean hull 6knots is 2000rpm now as opposed to 2900 with the last prop. This prop is too big for my boat as now the hull is dirty max rpm has dropped a little more. The ideal prop for this boat with a 29hp engine is 17x12
